Hard for me to associate the word “fear” with them like mog does. Perhaps, as the hidden path states “their attention is turned elsewhere”. Grave concern might fit best
Also the whole altar of rattosh incident with the coven witches is a bit vague. Do they know something or not?
The Three were never depicted in such a way, and besides, the Witch Gods were not known to embrace such open displays of devotion. They preferred the secret places, hidden from sight and the light of day where their followers could practice without the fear of the Luminari discovering their covens.
Since the temple of the three is in the Erulan empire, i highly doubt that pyramid is dedicated to one of them. Even that it’s outside the Erulan empire.
Also the whole altar of rattosh incident with the coven witches is a bit vague. Do they know something or not?
What do you mean by that, the witches or the Witch Gods?
Yes, the three Witch Gods Bysmiel, Dreeg and Solael. They are the masters of the eldritch realm, the source of power for most witches, including myself.
Some here even find solace in their worship, though I cannot say what comforts such worship brings.
So not all witches worship them, so i expect they majority don’t know that the Witch gods have gone silent.
That guy on the pyramid certainly has a huge cone head. unless he wears a helmet.
The gem on the sciminator’s hilt looks like an eye, hopefully there’s more to Beronath since his spawn isn’t too far away from the Guardian of Uroboruuk
Solael ceased being a mortal for transcendence and now he seeks the very essence of mortals. Maybe he needs a regular supply of mortals OR he just wants to feel mortal
Pretty sure there’s more to that than him being a bully
Ancient Grove disappointed me in this regard. I am more interested in Kra’vall though he isn’t too far off from the Ravager and Mogdrogen’s second avatar. Pretty bold if you ask me
Eh, this would have been fine, if we had two Aetherial factions split up due to how they see this invasion.
Not all Aetherials agree with thow things are going in Cairn, maybe get some insight from their point of view? Nope, just add literally the same enemies, but… tougher. Wow, what a faction.
In the size if recent events, it brings nothing to the table, unfortunately.
They are not gods in the sence of interpretation, so I hope with our powers growing, we get to kick their faces.
That was before it was confirmed that our character is an Ascendant too, as far as I remember.
I would agree about Korvaak, though, we are definitely not ready to face him head-on yet. But again, with our powers growing I highly doubt, that these gods would pose a significant problem. Afterall, Crate seem to push the idea of a chosen hero upon our character.
Idk man, I think Dreeg would melt our faces in 3 seconds
But I have never gotten the impression that we are ascendant outside of ulgrim ofc. We are something for sure, something odd that maybe never happened before in the GD universe. Not not ascendant?
I leave this thread for a few minutes and we’re talking about the Witch Gods like they are our enemy
What did I miss? They’re one of the few allies we can count on, I can trust them because I know the Ascendants wouldn’t want a True God - A Primordial to be summoned so I highly doubt we’d ever get to fight them
>Solael’s a bully!
Calling an insane proponent of regular human sacrifice a “bully” is like calling Joseph Stalin a “jerk”. In any event, the relationship between Solael and his worshippers is perfectly transactional and they could fucking stop feeding him any time, but they don’t. As it’s implied he pulls his sacrifices from his pool of worshippers, I don’t see the problem and I spare no pity for anyone involved here.
I don’t exactly see any of the Cairn gods as being an enemy or an ally. They have their own motives which don’t always (usually?) align with Human needs/motives.
The gods are fire, be careful when playing with them or you will get burnt.
Exactly why I can trust The Three to be allies for now. As long as Chthon and Korvaak are trying to make their way into the Real World I doubt these guys would be stupid enough to turn down potential allies
As scheming and deceitful they might seem they aren’t stupid enough to stab us in the back/fight with us when there’s a much bigger fish to fry
Unlike the idiot Kymon who probably got Nuke to put out the “flames” I find “allying” with an Ascendant to fight the invaders of Cairn to be a much more safer option.
Perhaps Dreeg’s power is some sort of a mental brekdown, where he simply overpowers you with insanity of eldritch origin. Knowing he’s practically based of Lovecraftian horrors, this seems to be the case. So if we have sufficient mental power to block his gaze OR even avert it for some time… then we should be fine, as it’s also in Ascendant’s view of power he can accumulate.
Creed in his diaries also basically confirms this. Maybe not an Ascendant, yes… I would actually prefer going down this path as it will make the hero more interesting than your typical chosen one.
And you base this on what? We haven’t actually meet them yet. And so far, we only know that they are very cruel, demanding and even downright sadistic, like Solael.
Dreeg may be an exception, since he didn’t get this power by choice. But nevertheless, I wouldn’t trust persons like them. You can expect a backstab every minute every time your goals don’t align.
Since Dreeg is the oldest of the three and the first one to ascend, i wonder how Soleal and Bysmiel got ascended. Since Dreeg is guarding the Eldritch realm.
Still have a theory that somehow Korvaak has a involvement in this.
Personally i don’t think that the Witch gods are our enemies.
Part from a conversation with Allostria (the other you )
We are infinite and the old gods that subjugated us have gone from this world. None remain who can oppose us and those of your kind who do not accept this reality will perish without exception.
