Actually, what Uroboruuk says it quite close to what Harbringers in-game do, they do explode when killed after all. This was likely a new tactic to use against undead, possession.
What were they doing there. Not exactly a cht’onic area.
Also in his very long lifespan uroboruuk has seen a lot of crap, but not that. He thought he know what he was dealing with at the start of the fight and was surprised. He knew they are called “harbingers”. But they were weird harbs
>Chthonians in the Tomb of Korvaak
>Chthonians in a place that likely leads towards the Korvan Plateau
>The Messenger hinting that the Dying God and Korvaak have a beef to settle
I’d say it’s safe to say Chthonians are sending agents to limit this guy’s influence on the world and making sure he isn’t revived.
BTW, looking forward to see what the next expansion has in store about this Koorvak guy, i like very much the design of his idols (the monster face on his belly in particular remembers me of some creatures from Go Nagai)
Well Go Nagai is the author of Devilman, one of the (many) influences in Bastard
Maybe it resembles the witch gods because they are brothers, like in most mythologies, or it’s their progenitor. Like Chronos with Zeus, and that’s why they are worried about him.
I’ve heard of it (didn’t know it was by him). Never got a chance to get into it cause used to have too many things on my plate but with the downfall in the quality of anime in the past few years giving us barely a handful good anime in a single year. I’d say I can safely look into some old stuff.
@Superfluff
There’s also the question of similar symbols appearing on altars of The Three and Korvaak
Guys, something seems off to me. The aetherial that possessed you said they were the first on Cairn before our corrupt gods(?) banished them. Anasteria on the other hand, and some skill description say aetherials were contacted by arcanists trying to meddle with aether.
Now onto problem #2.
I’m wondering who are the primordial gods…besides Korvaak.
Problem #3…
Interesting descriptions…i wonder what they mean.
And finally problem #4
Why the crap is the same runic circle that was used to bind you while being possessed, used on Korvaak’s messenger as well?
