Stone at Level 4

Whilst I’m loving playing the game as it currently is (and am looking forward to a greater variety of livestock), one “bottleneck” I keep hitting is with stone.
Whilst I appreciate the idea is that there should be scarcity, only being able to place a quarry on quite rare “infinite mines” (I only seem to have one on my map, unless there’s another I’ve yet to locate) seems too restrictive, especially given the mountains encircling the map (Idyllic Valley - yep, I play “sandbox” style as it relaxes me)
So I’m wondering why quarries couldn’t also be built into mountains?
(Or failing that, spawning quarrying sites/ infinite stone deposits more abundantly)
Many thanks!

Just depends on the map type you choose/roll. And have you uncovered all of your map? You can also buy stone from traders when they come to your town.

Idyllic Valley. Maximum map size. About 99% cleared. So I guess there’s a small chance there might yet be a second quarriable site. (Population just shy of 2,500 now)
And yes, I’m buying up all stone available from traders!

Actually - that’s something else: upgrading the Trading Post to have more workers to stock & distribute…

one Deep Stone Deposit actually enough space to drop 2 quarries. with a mining boost from Guild Hall, it could help solve your problem, or at least help a little more than what you are dealing with. hope the information help. Good luck!

All maps are different, and not all ressources avaible from one to another !

Thanks for that. Now doing some more terrain flattening!

Also stumble upon this problem in many runs. Trading helps, but it is currently unreliable. I think having more trader or simply scaling trade volume would be great help overall.
