Stop "stocking livestock feed" when I need meat to not starve

What the title says. I was a little short on food for one winter, so I decided to slaughter some cows, because I had enough of those. I thought cows made a good emergency option in circumstances like this, but I was wrong.

Because, even though all barns started slaughtering soon enough, they first interrupted this task because the villagers were switched to “Seeking shelter” at the start of winter. This always happens and it’s supremely annoying, as “seeking shelter” makes sense for hunters and builders, but not for indoor jobs like slaughtering cows, and you lose a LOT of time when villagers walk all the way back and forth for no reason whatsoever.

And then, when they resumed slaughtering meat, they keep interrupting that task constantly to restock food for the cows, even though they still have a lot of food left. This is because some unholy decision to make “Stocking livestock feed” absurdly important in the herders’ AI, so important that they will literally interrupt other tasks for it to get more food for livestock.

And because there is no way to manually override the AI and force villagers to do certain tasks (another thing I would like to see changed), I have to see my herder go back for 5 root vegetables again, while my villagers are now beginning to starve because the 500 meat coming from the cow is delayed, again.

So in short, my wishlist here is:

  1. Stop making villagers with indoor jobs “seek shelter” for no reason
  2. Reduce the importance the AI places on stocking more livestock food.
  3. Never interrupt a villager task for another task unless it’s very important, otherwise some long tasks like slaughtering meat never get completed
  4. Allow the player to manually override tasks that are part of a certain profession, when the player disagrees with the AI on what a villager should do next

Your points go to the core about what is totally wrong and poorly planned about the AI in this game… if only they listen to this we might have an enjoyable sensible logical game one day instead of the most frustratingly chaotic nonsense AI I can recall ever seeing in a game…
