I miss a game mode like Crucible or Shattered Realm that allows players to increase faction reputation per monster kill and also farm specific Monster Infrequents. Right now, gaining reputation mainly through repetitive bounties and hunting MIs that rarely spawn on normal enemies can feel tedious. It would be great to have an alternative — for example, a dungeon or arena filled with hero enemies — where players could progress reputations and hunt MIs in a more engaging and rewarding way.
About reputation:
With mandates, getting venerated it’s pretty easy with all the friendly factions just doing campaign.
With warrants and except for Kymon/death’s vigil and cronley, it’s pretty easy to get nemesis.
The main problem is, of course, Kymon/death’s vigil and cronley. I’d like a way to farm their rep faster. By just having totems of their factions would be great.
About MIs… Well, i don’t have a specific response, but as in Fangs of Asterkarn we will be able to reroll MIs’s affixes, probably the whole process of searching specific affixes will be more… manageable
Yes. Maybe a dungeon would do the trick as well? Using a Skeleton Key could be explained because the Kymon Vault / Vigil Catacomb are locked by powerful spells and mechanisms that only such a key may open…
kymon/vigil infamy gain was greatly increased, so now you get maxed in a “couple” tomb runs when multiplied with new mandate/warrant increase

Idk if crate is willing to add roguelike dungeon for base game factions. If we don’t have it yet, i don’t think we will get it. But who knows after FoA, they’ll add various roguelike dungeons. Maybe we we can see a “humans dungeon”.
I think totems are more factible.
fwiw: 900 Kymon infamy for boss kill, and 420 for hero (tho they are rare without specific bounty),
not paying direct attention to trash, but adds up to quite a bit per run/“thousands”
it’s been a long time since I farmed nemesis with Kymon (and cronley). It’s good to know that at least Kymon is faster now.
cronley we can semi cheese, take pitmaster bounty, go bonk him+aldric/protoss, hand in, 900 infamy total (with a warrant, otherwise it’s 300)
It’s not the only option but i think it’s the fastest reset wise, but either way highest infamy gain seem to come from the DC cronley bounties (base 75 for a boss 150 for a bounty on Ultimate)

*Doing actual cronley lair runs give “more”, but it’s ofc also a way longer run, and with still only 1x 150 bounty infamy per run regardless of length

Cronley is definitely the oulier now. Factions that were easier to grind than Cronley got massive boosts while the gang remained untouched for some reason. You MUST keep Direni alive or it’s going to be even more tedious.
As for MI’s, just eliminating item level 84 MI drops at character level 100 would work wonders towards making grinding for them not as off-putting. Nothing makes me want to ALT+F4 more at the moment than when I see a great affix combination just to find out the base item is 84… The inconsistency annoys me the most. Some drop only 94, some drop both. The only way to know the level breakpoints for MIs for sure at the moment is Grimtools. You can’t even find this information in the game itself…
Sincerely hope FoA MIs don’t have this issue.
