Technology Tree?

Hey, I saw in this article that "Crate Entertainment is working on adding a tech tree, improving optimization, and “prototyping some new aspects to the military component of the game.”’

I was wondering if there had been any official dev info about this?

Oops forgot to link the article: Don't say Manor Lords was made by a 'solo developer,' argues competing city builder maker: 'The team size on it is maybe even larger than ours' | PC Gamer

First I’ve heard of it, but they have added more on the military side with the latest patch and we know more optimisation should be coming in the next one so a tech tree at some point could happen.

Also Kudos to Crate for consistently putting out such bangers with good content with such a small dev team  I think you guys should be proud.

Hey…remember REDACTED?

I remembered that exact line and was curious if that was the tech trees!

I hope we get more info about it soon and that it is more than just a new progression system for unlocking buildings for example (new ways to specialise towns maybe?). Anyway i love me a tech tree so im not complaining either way.

Can’t get into specifics as it’s still in flux. We may end up having some buildings and/or building upgrades require tech, but for the most part the tech tree will be there for you to specialize your town and improve various aspects of its construction, production and military.

Thanks, its really cool that you guys are so in touch with the community, even with work still in heavy dev like this!

For what its worth im still a fan of having the buildings mainly be buildable by need but the tech tree give options to specialise - which seems like where you are going.
