with warrant applied, farming beast reputation could not get any faster:rolleyes:
Someone looks pretty salty about his Kupo failures…
Is that all you can say?
How do you find find this Kubacabra ?
Sounds like someone who never encountered him with pet builds. Let me explain the problem in-depth.
Not only Kupa has the potential to utterly decimate your pets - he heals off them thanks to his blood pools. So no matter how geared you are, if you can’t counter his insane healing mechanic, your pets will always be destroyed, and you will always run away. That calls for resummonning your pack literally every five seconds, while continuously kiting the fuck way from him.
It’s tedious, annoying.
That’s why sephelutis and I have doubts about that guy’s words. Unless he can back them up that is.
Be Nemesis with Beast Faction. Search all over Gloomvald and Ugdenbog, eventually, you will find him.
try the barrow mines near barrowholm, imo best place to fight him
You don’t he find you
Unlike other Nemeses, Kuba hunts you and not the other way around.
It means he’s easy to find
It’s funny. Because once my characters finish the main quest they never find Kupa again unles I deliberately hunt for him. I personally have the nemesis locations thread open everytime I try to find him cause there’s so many spawn spots, though you can go through all of them without porting.
When you’re still on the main quest though… Just had an infiltrator die 3 times to him cause he spawned next to Caraxxus Foul and that place has little to no kiting space.
It is not easy, but doable. My Conjurer has killed him a half dozen times while out picking flowers. Some things that have worked for me are.
- The first kill is easy, the smaller version cast more of the Bleed/Heals.
- Split the splits. This involves a lot of running away and recasting your pets and engaging from the edge. Each one is easier to kill on their own.
- Keep moving, or try and get aggro. He only casts his Bleed/Heal when he is stationary. If the Kuba is focused on you and you are moving your pets can wack his ass.
You would reach nemesis in normal for sure. Without a warrant you can easily reach it somewhere in act 1 elite. With one… probably before you enter act 5 in normal.
Enjoy Kuba at level 50ish I suppose
Hopefully you take a good long look at this one because this fight is as inane as it is tiring. He’s flat out un-doable with a summoner build; even kiting him around a fully cleared upper ugdenbog he had 98% hp after 10 minutes of resummoning and running around chugging potions. I’d rather fight all the other nemeses at once than this asshole ever again.
I think that this delightful creature showed up in Ugdenbog about two or three minutes after I hit nemesis. Five deaths later, I managed to kill the beast (seven times - I was not expecting that). At least Battlemage has Maiven’s Sphere and Mirror to give me a few shots at it before having to run like heck!
I understand the problem, I just don’t sympathize. I actually did encounter him with a pet build, and it was a serious pain in the ass, but there are other nemesis out there. Speaking of which, why does every class need to be OP vs every enemy? It kind of bugs me that my Death Knight struggles a bit vs certain monsters, but he’s also great vs others that some other classes struggle with.
And if your complaint is that your only class is summoner and the only area you farm is ugdenbog/gloomwald, then I’d say that you can run away from cupa with 135% ms (I’ve done it haha).
Iron Maiden is straight up impossible for my build. If she shows up in crucible last wave I am R.I.P even with 19k health and 3k DA. Should I start complaining about her, durr hurr
Totally agree with that.
I’d actually agree that a decently geared cabalist summoner can handle Koopa with relative ease (if not some tedium) and he’s reliably killable with 3 other summoners I’ve run against him (Pyromancer, Conjurer, and shhhhhh:p).
I just think some of his locations and relative early appearance is the complaint worthy problem.
I feel a little guilty for griping about him in retrospect because he was actually a bigger pain to deal with on some of my non-summoners I ran up through xpac.
I beat him with my purifier build. I just kept running him around and around through my thermite mines and when he tried to breath attack me I’d take opportunity shots with sacred strike. There are builds I have that can’t tackle certain Nemesis and that is understandable. If every build could do everything equally well then what is the point? For a build to be interesting you have to have diversity and strengths and weaknesses.
Finally went back and gave these jerks another try.
1-2 weeks in AoM my char was too weak to contest this boss when he split but with some item upgrades I can beat this guy with some effort.
He even spawned in the stupid cave. I died a couple times but managed to bring him down with a DW melee build which I’m pretty satisfied with.
At least this char isn’t even done yet so I have more power upgrades to look forward to.
I’m still missing my endgame medal, belt and helm and gloves/rings really need a better roll too. And most importantly, I need that new patch to finally start farming my endgame MI weapons, I’m just using some random junk right now like a Frenzied Spectral Longsword of Alacrity, lol.
That’s the attitude I reserve for exotic builds, a good build stomping everything including Queen is having difficulty against him. In that case there might be something wrong with this guy
And Kuba is too tedious for a nemeses, are you kidding me with those many stages to him? It’s less about him being tough and more about him being tedious and boring.
