The craziest Sentinel spawn I've ever seen

He puts 3 DOTs on me, one is an internal trauma dot that deals 5k+ damage in 5 seconds (I have 37% physical resistance fyi). The others are poison and bleeding, I didn’t look at the numbers, but despite having 83% resistance in both damage types I got destroyed in a few seconds, can’t even kite him.
I got frustrated, relog, and this time just casually left click him to death.
This is the second time that he spawned with these ridiculous abilities, anyone else had the same problem?

maybe he had a crazy weapon with affixes on it or even he had the legendary helmet on: Eldritch Gaze, [Covenant of the Three](Covenant of the Three) dunno if that is possible

That was my guess too, but the weird thing is the out of nowhere Internal Trauma dot, maybe he had a reflection item too because I was playing a physical Warder?

fighting him last night, ran into the same issue. Did manage to eventually kill him and he did have a shield with reflect on it.

Is there any reason to farm sentinel? It takes a long time to reach him and doesn’t seem to have any special item like the sect guardians do

He has 2 exclusive legendary blueprints

I assumed that’s only for ultimate though? So there’s no reason to farm in normal or elite?

He can spawn with a Notched Bone of a Thousand Deaths too, It’s like Crate having a fetish with that thing :furious:

Haven’t seen the notched bone on him yet, but ran into another crazy combo again last night. Not only did he have a 33% reflect shield, but the mace he was carrying had 24% energy burn… If I didn’t have my bleeding warder that whittled him down with the dots, I have no idea how I would have beaten him… still ended up killing me twice…

Did get the Covenant of the Three BP, but unfortunately I’m looking for Eldritch gaze… Oh well, just means some more farming tonight.

No point fighting big bosses with Eldritch weapons as melee, it ends up an annoying drawn out fight. Re logging is more efficient

He has epic versions of the helms that drop in normal and empowered epic versions that drop in Elite/ultimate. Although, I don’t know if they are particular good compared to other helms of similar level… Gearing is probably my weakest area of knowledge when it comes to this game…

Fair enough, still no reason for me to farm him then as absolutely nothing can beat Outcasts Hood for my current build, not evenly the legendary version beats the epic version

agreed, well…Outcasts Secret will be out your Outcasts Hood:D:rolleyes:! The new helms are not good arcanist helms… My bleeding/physical/IT warder however, could really use the Eldritch Gaze…

Both Legendary helms have +1 to all OCC skills, so they definitely better for some classes then others. Covent of the three has +3 to AAR, but no aether damage bonus. So unless you’re converting aether to chaos, it won’t help.

Eldritch’s Gaze is BiS for a bleeding build, simply because it gives you another bleeding proc to stack.

That an all the other helms suck for bleed builds… Whisper of Secrets is ok for a trickster I guess…but still no bleed proc. It is not so good for a physical bleed build.

Nope Outcasts Hood is 100times better then Outcast Secret
I can never get enough OA for any meaningful crit chance and the stat difference is miniscule meaning Outcast Hood is better
Plus devastation always procs anyway

My Outcast Secret has OA on it…at least I’m pretty sure… According to graceful dusk, they both have all the same stats just the Secret has higher numbers for those stats and also +1 all arcanist skills…

It’s only slightly higher numbers
And it’s not that much OA

True, stat wise, it isn’t THAT much better…but still better…:D:rolleyes:

But the BIG advantage is the +1 all arcanist skills… I think that is a MUCH bigger difference/impact then the stats. you can’t honestly say +1 all arcanist stats is not a big deal…

Beauty is my build doesn’t overly benefit from +skills anyway
So for me I lose pretty much nothing but gain a lot more reliable proc chance for Devastation, by reliable I mean it is always going off and 90% of the time it’s going off at the beginning so full damage and it’s not wasted
