Maya - Any suggestions on how to run the crucible? I haven’t cleared 150 yet (I keep dying on 148-150). I tried placing the flag that provides Regen/defense, but crucible is new to me and my piloting is waaaay off. How do you set the arena up for a run? I’m lacking some of your items, so I’m a little weaker, bear that in mind.

Crucible of the dead > Vanguard Banner on bottom-left > 4 Blessings > Take a quick nap > Wake up and collect Loot

If you still want an easier time, forget banners and instead get 4 Lvl -1 StormCaller Beacons instead. Your reward at the end might be a bit less due to the Beacon Kills not counting for the player, but should be easier and might help you get more familiar with piloting and stuff.

As for piloting, keep moving and don’t get trapped. Can’t really give you a more specific advice since that is pretty much all I do

Problem is, pets like Briarthorn, Familiar etc are an all-in-or-nothing kind of deal. Either you focus entirely on pets, or you don’t go pets. Hybrid setups do exist and can work, but you would need to min-max to the extreme and even then it won’t be as powerful. In other words, you will have to choose between either pets or primal strike eventually.

Hm… I have never had problems with Grava killing my pets. But you can try using Mender’s powder augment on Rings/amulet and see if the extra pet chaos res helps. Other than that, just keep an eye on your Buffs as Grava can dispel them if you get hit by his projectile.

The weird thing is, that the pets don’t always die. I had a run today, where I was able to pull Grava solo. The first time around he simply killed all my pets but one bird within seconds, then I fucked up, pulled the rest and died (got hit by his debuff in the wrong moment).

The second time around I pulled him solo again, and the pets just stood there bashed his skull in, pecked his eyes out and gnawed his feet off. Only the hound died a few times the others tanked through all of it. No idea why though. :rolleyes:

Less mana cost and gets the job done all the same. It is just there to proc stuff, not to do any actual damage.

Could be that you got a bad combination of mutators the first time.

Stormbringer of Malmouth offhand might be better since you get pretty much the same thing but without needing to sacrifice the Relic Slot.

yeah i noticed. Got the item. To pair with this offhand what relic should i craft, i was thinking dirge of arkovia since i could use another pet or modrogens odor but i dont know.

Either should be fine. Mog’s Ardor will give you extra points to play with while as you noted, you get an extra pet with Dirge.

Glad to hear it. Btw, I’d also recommend putting 1 point each in Ember Claw and Ground Slam. It helps with aggro a bit.

Is there any way to “green-itemize” a little bit this build? (Birds of Bysmiel) I really enjoy farming double-rares and MIs!

Maybe some pants? Off-hand? Shoulders?

You could, but in general won’t see much difference imo.

Now, first things first Familiars at 26/16 gain one more projectile per attack. So, I would recommend Bysmiel’s Mindweaver as weapon. It also provides other goodies.

As for Tempest vs Widow, it depends on whether you are ok with how Arcane Bombs work or not. With the Bysmiel’s Mindweaver change, you get Familiars at 27/16, so you can take 1 point from it and pick Pox/Vines to proc Shepherd’s.

I am assuming that the extra RR from Widow will net you more damage than Tempest’s Proc, but test both just incase. Also, Storm Totem is not worth it imo. You don’t need it to proc Tempest.

I’ve been debating a lot about Bysmiel’s Mindweaver vs Spark of Ultos. I have both i’ll have to do some testing but I feel like +200% lightning damage to pets plus that 25% physical damage converted to lightning for pets is particularly good with a pure lightning build. That extra projectile for the familiar I had no idea about and it really makes the choice even harder!

Also arcane bomb is a really tough call. I wish they hadn’t nerfed it.
