248 Skill points from Base game + AoM + FG.
The rest are from gear.
Ty & Happy to hear that you like it
Tried it and didn’t like it haha. Blizzard definitely better!
Did push this build to SR 84 yesterday. Ran out of time and multiple deaths T.T on SR82 because of stupid Grava…all the pets got evaporated real quick lol and needed to run and kite hard haha.
Congrats on the SR 84 completion.
And yeah, pets getting evaporated on higher shards is kind of a common thing
Hey Maya, awesome build so far I just hit level 100.
Just curious your thoughts on Mythical Voidmancer Cord instead of Mythical Shadowfiend’s Cord?
I have both, just not sure which one is better:

Glad to hear that you like it
ShadowFiend because Pet resistances. Plus the +1 to Occultist and the extra pet dmg + pet OA are nice.
i see that the spoiler about devotion set-up mentions, twice, going for manticore.
however the step-by-step guide does not select manticore.
generally i’ve noticed a wide variety in devotion set-ups on the grimtools links, so I’m thinking just pick something with a lot of pet +% and you’re good to go ?
Ah, thx for notifying me. The build had Manticore before, but was changed to Bysmiel’s Bonds instead after it got a buff in a recent patch.
As for devotions in general, it is about picking a playstyle and then picking the appropriate devotions that compliment it. You also have to take into account, both offense and defense. So, it is a bit more complicated than simply Pet +%
Sooo. I finally managed to acquire all items necessary for Birds of Bysmiel, and hot damn… this is probably the best character I played yet. I absolutely love the lazy-ass playstyle. Gimme more GD: Walking Simulator.
Thanks for the guide Maya.

Glad to hear that you like it.
Hi, I’m new to the game. Can you tell me how its possible to have skills from more than 2 classes? I noticed you use skills from atleast 3.
I do?
Where?
Hi Maya
Thanks again for taking your time and making great pet builds!
I was able to push to SR90 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_vcjMRfPao) using your Bysmial’s Dodo variation of this build. I have to say that I was lucky and did not get many nasty boss combination and also quite easy mutators :).
After trying other pet build’s of yours and also Sigatrev (shout out to him as well for making awesome pet builds) I think this is the best build that has balance between damage and tankinest in my opinion (you get over 80% phys res when frenzied devotion proced + Ishtak&Primal Bond absorption). I have been playing in SR a lot lately and would say that this build can consistently do SR75 to 81 or 82.
In higher shattered realm, you need luck with boss combination and mutators but more importantly you need CC resistance and burst heal! Hence, I altered skill some skill points and allocate them to mend flesh. The heal save me countless of time in SR.
Added it to the OP
Updated the Fluffy’s Vengeance build to the current patch.
What prefix and suffix is good for salazar’s sovereign blade? just something with pet bouns or?
Hi Maya, first of all thank you for all your hard work on the pet side of things for Grim Dawn.
I got the Cowl’s blueprint so I wanted to give the Conjurer a go. How would you feel about dropping Tree of Life in order to give Flame Torrent to the fire doggy? Would it be too much of a survivability loss?
Anyways, thank you in advance.
Yes, any pet bonus is good. If it also comes with +skill to pet stuff, then even better.
Ty, ty
Tree provides too much for me to consider dropping it. It is not just the heal, but also mana regen. I don’t think that the dps from Flame torrent would be worth it. But since one can always respec devotion points, give it a try and see.
Hello
I’m new at grim dawn and have some question about pets. Do only item with the mod “bonus to all pets” affect pets dps? i see that normal mods like +X fire damage don’t affect the fire damage of a pets.
I’m currently lvl 33 is there recipes or set farm good to have while lvling?
Anyway thanks for the guide for the moment the pets deal an insane amount of damage its crazy ^^
Fly safe.
Happy to hear that you like the build
Yes, for the most part only items with bonus to all pets, affect pets. There are certain exceptions like Barbaross Pants that provide an aura and AoE buffs affect pets too.
Generally, you don’t need to worry about farming for specific items at lower levels as you will soon out level them anyways. Generally anything that provides pet stuff is good. You can look them up in the Grimtools website.
Here is a detailed list of pet stuff: https://www.grimtools.com/db/search?query=pets&in_description=1&exact_match=0
May your wings pierce the very heavens.
