At this point, almost all of my quality-of-life concerns have been addressed. There are just three left, 2 of which are the last 2 remaining reasons I use a mod:
- Upgrade management is painful. I use “upgrade all” mod to upgrade everything ctrl-u, which sort of still works, but I’d rather just have the ability to upgrade all (or many) easily without finding and clicking each building, road, etc.
- Repair. I use “repair all” mod, to repair with ctrl-r. This saves so much useless clicking especially after a bad raid.
- Horse barn balancing. I love my lancers. Unfortunately sometimes they get slaughtered. So I hire new ones. And the new lancers drain horsebarns completely, instead of selecting across all of them, which means I have a 0-pop stable or 3 and the horses won’t do as nature says they should and reproduce. So I have to go move horsies around. This makes me sad.
- Please bring back rally points separate from the barracks. By far the easiest way to manage armies is to tell all units to rally to a specific spot. Right now the only way to do that is to go to the barracks first, and then tell it where the combat point is. The new mechanism - just moving the units - means they don’t attack on the way (so they get slaughtered), and they get lost around the map as I forget where I put them and they just hang out there forever. I want to be able to select all cavalry, hit a rally spot, and know they’re on their way and will deal with any threats along the way.
Great work! From my side, that’s all that’s left in terms of quality-of-life improvements
