Titan Quest Anniversary Edition

Thanks for providing some direction Asylum. This is actually an old char and my first attempt at Dream mastery (as far as really trying out the skills) so I’m still trying to figure it out.

I’ve heard good things about Phantom Strike + the mod you mentioned, I’ll try that out.

I think I will pick up Convalescence for some tankiness. I plan to take this char as far as possible, or at least as far as gear I’m able to acquire. lol

Thanks again. I’ll check out your titancalc.

*edit Also forgot to mention, I was planning on doing a physical/bleeding damage, mostly focused on Onslaught. Just needed a bit of AOE.

Lucy, here’s the AE version of TitanCalc using Asylum101’s base since there are a few changes to skills you might want to look at.

https://www.kirmiziperfect.com/titancalc-anniversary-edition/TitanCalc85a7.html?mastery=Harbinger&master1=3&master2=9&sa=0&m1=32-6-1-8-6-1-6-0-6-1-10-0-6-6-0-6-0-0-6-6-0&m2=32-0-0-0-0-8-1-6-0-0-8-0-12-0-1-12-6-0-0-0-12-0

Unfortunately Dream doesn’t have that great AoE skills, Distortion Wave is okay, but limited in its reach. If using Phantom Strike then Distort Reality/Temporal Rift would probably work better. Phantom in and then blast them with Distort Reality and clean up anything left standing. Depending on how well you think your toon is doing either ToC or ToW will help too. And here’s the Calc with all the bonus points applied - which means you could also max out Phantom Strike (more damage and that’s always good, right?) and possibly have Ancestral Horn to call up some support if you want/need it.

Instead of the Ancestral Horn you could look at maxing out Dodge Attack.

Whether you’ll get as high as L69 with the new expansion I don’t yet know. I usually finish Legendary around L60-61 with a straight playthrough, but would expect the new expansion may push that up to around L64, maybe L65.

Woah, guys, really? You can’t adjust to any ARPG out there after playing GD? Come on now, you look like total casuals.

As for Phantom Strike… don’t use it as a travelling sneak kill skill. The first disadvantage of this is enemies fleeing and dispercing in all directions, lowing the chance of AoE hit.
The second disadvantage is it’s SLOW travelling speed.

Use it as a large AoE nuke. Gather enemies around you - use the skill - profit! If overcapped, it can hit up to 8 enemies at once for a buttload of damage.

It is useful for sneaking up on an enemy that has not spotted you yet, though, especially if they are bunched together.
And yeah… after GD I find TQ lacks a lot of things. Then again, after TQ I found Diablo II lacked a lot of things, too. It’s called evolution in gaming.

My Assassin always used War Wind, it’s a Soldier skill, hits enemies around you, does bleed damage too. If you use Dream as the second mastery, there is Distortion Ripple or what is it called, the petrify is an useful thing in crowded situations.

Oh, then your literature teachers were probably not great… Me, I read mythology books way back in primary school (not sure what you in the USA call the first “level” of school you go to?) - by the time I got to secondary (what you guys call high school) I already read all the greek, roman, indian, egyptian myth books I could get my hands on. Speaking of the latter, I would love an expansion to TQ that takes us to India and adds the various monsters and heroes of the Ramajana and Mahabharata.

Here is the next news about TQ: Titan Quest coming to all current-gen console platforms in 2018 | THQ Nordic GmbH!!!

Well this is a bold move. I mean, I love the game and still thinks the graphics are beautiful, but console kids are used to much nicer looking graphics.
Then again, Diablo 3 has much worse graphics when you zoom in, and it still sold well on consoles, so what do I know…

Hello,

Found a new TitanCalc for Ragnarök!

There is only a problem with the Return Link ATM …

Trickster doesn’t work. Get an 404 Error message.

The side/tool still has some problems … :frowning:

Too many views of the new Calc as well - site’s gone to sleep since it’s on free hosting.

See the console launch is on Tuesday. Also see from the titan quest page that they’re bringing out a collector’s edition.

I might get the PC version, always like to have a disc copy as backup. Interesting that only the PC version will include the expansion. Ragnarök not yet ready for consoles? Personally I’d prefer that they get all the bugs out of the game/expansion first before doing a collector’s, but I guess the console hype is too much to ignore for that. Wow! Just looked at the PC version price: £99.99 a pop.

Going to be interesting seeing TQAE and Grim Dawn both on Xbox.

And for anyone after the TitanCalc AE it’s here on kirmizieperfect.com.

It also covers the expansion too.

Yeah the price is crazy, I can’t believe they’re trying to milk TQ so hard…

I mean, the collector’s box with the helm is cool and all… but I mean, the game is 10 years old. Next gen console players will not appreciate it, it’s pretty much just going to be older players coming to play for nostalgia while chilling on the couch or bed I think. I just can’t see it drawing enough of a crowd to have been worth all this effort of porting it.

I’d have preferred if they printed the models of some of the more epic enemies (like the Hydra, or Typhon or Hades) and gave that with the collector’s edition. How much does it cost, btw?
And yeah, THQ Nordic is trying hard to milk every old franchise they have. I actually did purchase another game they revived - Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy, which is now available for PC as well! But yeah, that game is originally for PS2… I played it on an emulator back in the day.

This was a surprise to me, I expected them to have bought those franchises to release new games in the future, but they actually went back and updated a lot of what they got in the deal. You have to wonder if it was worth the money, some of those titles are obscure to say the least. Still, I suppose they got some goodwill out of it, and that’s worth something.

£99.99 pre-order - call it £100. Like I care about saving a penny.

That 100 bucks price tag is for the Collector’s edition, right? Then it’s probably due to the Helm replica that it costs so much. Those things are not exactly cheap.

Just my guess, though.

Yes, that’s for the PC Collector’s Edition. No idea what the console ones are or what the game on it’s own will be since I don’t play on consoles.

I recommend Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. It’s a pretty fun game with a dual gameplay style - as Sphinx you run around fighting creatures in a 3D platformer, but as the Mummy you are basically indestructible but harmless, and you have to use various fun ways to solve complex puzzles in the tomb. I even read they are planning to make an editor for the game, and to put back some of the lost levels that were omitted from the original release.

can someone give me suggestion about phantom strike and eruption?
which skill can kill bosses faster?
with ragnarok dlc i want to start a new char combine with rune mastery
but still wonder between dream and earth :undecided:

Think it’s more a question of what type of character you want to play: melee or caster. Melee you’ve got a choice between Psionic Touch and Runemaster’s Rune Weapon for the LMB. Choosing Rune Weapon means you could also add Runeword Explode/Burn to it.

Unfortunately Rune Weapon doesn’t work with staves. :frowning: It does with throwing weapons though, so combining Rune Weapon, Earth Enchantment and Runeword Explode/Burn could be a good option.

Another difference is that Dream/Runemaster doesn’t give you any longer range AoE skills. Earth/Runemaster would allow you to use Volcanic Orb and Eruption both of which can be thrown over walls/down cliffsides to hit foes who can’t reach you.

I tend to prefer ranged over melee so I’d probably go Stonespeaker. Not that taken with Runemaster atm, but haven’t maxed any skills out so can’t really say how good they may be. :undecided:
