At last FatherSquid! Great news! It is great that the database will be recovered. In my humble opinion we don’t need an outsider new group. I am a back-end web developer and i can easily host the site and do the maintenance. And also can do any change to the site the community wants. I have already recovered many mods and guides with the help of the community on my site:
Hopefully good news on the horizon then Father Squid. Will keep fingers crossed that you’re successful in your negotiations.

On a side note, depending on which mods you use, I’m already in there somewhere… on of the vendors who sells the skins in Allskins I think… I am wearing a pirate hat which has been modified to have a squid on it… but you have to really zoom in to see that.

hi… this situation (happening so close in time) looks like a curse on TQ comunities…
We are having hosting problems in TQ-esp this days, i hope we can solve it… but it is not on my hands :undecided: But this problem make me ask about your domain problem:
If TitanQuest.net domain was buyed by a new owner… maybe the website, the files, the pages, structure, all the data… is still hosted in your hosting provider service??
I have really low knowdledge about hosting and domains, but if they are 2 diferent things/problems/services… i mean: maybe titanquest.net (the data, but not the url) is still alive, not deleted…
So my question, to understand better the problem your comunity is suffering, would be: Who was your webmaster, meaning not the one who own the domain/url but the one who pay to keep the pages hosted in internet?
Is the new owner of .net domain, also (and at same time) the new customer/client of the hosting account where the data is located?
If you have the chance to contact with the client of the hosting service where the data are… and if he is a different client to the one who pay for the domain (as this one has changed… but maybe the first do not).
Probably is a stupid idea… but i know sometimes a hosting services provide a large and ugly url to the data (forum in this case) and paying for a shorter and easier url (the domain) is a diferent contract…
…If you are lucky in that point, maybe the contract of the domain has new “owners”, but not the hosting contract… in that case ¿how to know that ugly url hidden under titanquest.net?
… As said before… probably domain and hosting had only one contract/owner in a pack. Then all this will not help you, again. Sorry 
Skorpion_King, sorry to hear the spanish site is also having problems. As far as I know iEntry both own the domain name and were the ones paying for the website’s upkeep as I believe they hosted it themselves as they are a B2B marketing company.
Father Squid is in negotiations to obtain the database from them so the data is still alive, it’s just a question of whether he can obtain it for the new forum.
By the way, when we do get TQ.net MK2 going, I do wonder what kind of population surge we’ll get. So far as I recall, Defboy is the only currently active mod, correct? If we get a surge, that’d be kind of a large load for one guy, so is there an application process for modship? I don’t really recall seeing anything about it.
Not that I know of Kaleg Nar. No idea how mods are selected. I got made a Spam Deputy on another forum I belong to, along with quite a few other people, but I don’t know how we got selected. It just happened one day, we had access to a part of the forum normal members can’t see and we have limited powers to blitz obvious spammers without having to report them first. I assume someone/s in charge looked at profiles, postings, etc, and decided who was responsible enough not to abuse the privilege, though sometimes new SD’s can be too enthusiastic and ban when they shouldn’t. But that’s just a guess on my part. It works well for that forum, but it is a Swiss based/focus one so don’t know how easy it would be to transfer the idea to another forum that covers the world. Still, obvious spammers lke the Korean ones we’ve been getting here on GD lately could easily to zapped under that sort of system without a mod being needed. And any suspicious posts are supposed to be reported for a mod to look at/deal with anyway so theoretically it’s possible. I’ll ask on the other forum and see what criteria is used.
I think it’ll depend on what Father Squid gets set up. Once we know the forum will come back then that’s the sort of thing he and his colleagues will have to decide on.
Well, I think that’s not a very pressing problem right now. And defboy managed the old forum more or less alone as well, as more and more of the other mods and admins became inactive. There were also some people who had extended rights for their respective subforums like Violos for his D2I subforum, if I remember correctly.
And when it comes to recruiting more mods, I think we have more than enough old timers that have been around the forums for a long time and would be willing to do the job.
Played some Titan Quest yesterday, and earlier today. For a moment i was about to open firefox and click on my TQ.NET named bookmark because i wanted to share something.
And then i was like. Oh wait, shit.

Same here. I’ve been more of a lurker in recent years, but it was still my go-to community site when the rest of the interwebs was being douchey.
Story and a question.
Story
Well after my TQ break I’ve remembered the learning curve to some things. While running my Avenger through the end of Act III Epic, I went into to Wusao Mountain thinking “Now I remember this to be a difficult spot, but she’s been PWNing everything she’s come across, except that Yerren hero and that Dragonian hero, so I’m guessing this’ll be an easy stroll in the park.” Well one mob of Dragonian Deathlancers causing near-death and I started taking Wusao seriously again. 
[Doesn’t help that she has 0 resistance on the secondary resistances.] But after a level up where I decided to put a point into Stoneform, I dealt with the rest of 'em by shooting an arrow at the mob, casting Eruption at my feet, Stoneforming, and watching them die. Then I made it to Ormenos [by the way, this was all with xMax] and remembered the tip of ‘Don’t stand at the entrance or he’ll shout something in Telkine for I PWN u fool and hit you with his deathray’ a little too late. On the second try I did a lot better and killed them, at which point it was time to take on Typhon and I was not in sync to take on his thorns, causing a couple deaths since I guess 1 arrow from my toon kills me. [She also has terrible pierce resistance. Did I not mention that?] But after getting the swing back I got to Rhodes and did my first Epic-level SP run, which was epic. I got Santa’s Cuffs, Boots, and Peppermint in addition to Blackbeard’s booties. The leggings will greatly increase the survival of some of my other toons and the Peppermint is an endgame gear item for another toon. WOOHOO!
Now the question
Do you guys find Typhon on multiplier mods or Secret Passage (both being on Epic) to be a better source of uniques? I’m hoping to find the Mantle of Sa’Jun and Athena’s Battle Greaves and I’m not sure which is better. The toon I’m farming with, the Avenger, can handle MassBoss Typhon (though getting to him is tough with 0 stun resist against the minotaurs and sometimes I reflect-kill myself) so it is a viable option.
