which is exactly what I mentioned, you need an address. I also did not say it changes every time you start the game, I said every patch potentially changes it and you have to search anew.
And looking for the value 10 or whatever can take quite some time (as in finding hundreds of hits, not knowing what each one is and having to figure out whether it is the devotion points).
The value can be in many locations and have many meanings, even within the GD data (good thing you usually search for low values, once you search for values that overlap with ASCII chars, you will find a lot more hitsā¦)
I donāt want to say that the GUI is the true evil or something, I just see some irrationality in your reasoning.
no idea what irrationality you see. That I say that most things are easier in a GUI ? That is not irrational.
If anything is irrational here it is your insistence on how convenient the tools you use are when in reality they clearly are nowhere near as convenient as you claim, which anyone who ever used tools like these knows.
You also completely ignore the uphill battle it is for new users, you already know the tool, but set someone in front of it for the first time or in front of a GUI and check how long it takes either one to do the same task.
I said every patch potentially changes it and you have to search anew
I donāt understand. I think, nobody understand, why they need to āsearch anewā once they change something.
Ten in one hundred are cheating, and maximum one from this ten sometimes need to change something frequently.
Iām not talking about this 1 percent, Iām talking about 99.
The value can be in many locations and have many meanings, even within the GD data
You donāt understand what are you talking about.
Of course you only need to do that if you want to change that value again or on a different char.
No point arguing further with you, as I said, I am not trying to convince you to use something, I made a general statement. You are arguing against established facts of 20+ years of UI design (and yes, a command line is a UI too, it just is not a GUI). I feel like talking to someone who insists the Earth is flatā¦
The 10 limit is simply the limit I put in place in the GD Defiler on the number of backups the editor will keep per character. It does need the ability to delete the older backups as you make changes and continue to save them. Is there any more detail to the exception then that portion of the message that you can post/send? (I apologize if you already submitted a report, if you have Iāll check for it.)
Please try again, if it still doesnāt work could you let me know the country you are trying to access the website from?
You should be good when coming from Russia now, anyone else please PM (or post if youāre okay with it) the country you live in if you are having issues getting the website (tq.soulseekkor.com) to load at all and simply get a page cannot be displayed.
That is unfortunateā¦not sure if I can do a lot for that, aside from adding a message to warn users to unequip items before resetting a mastery.
It isnāt tied to lvl100 specifically, it was the new format changeā¦this has now been updated.
Yeah thatāll be more interesting, on my list is to redo the character loading for Titan Quest to match Grim Dawn, now itāll be even more interesting lol.
Please let me know if this is still happening, it sounds like the game is defaulting to the backup of the character.
Iād like to, the difficult part of that is the game is updated so frequently that every time an update comes out it would break all game mods (such as the ones you describe for TQ). With the limited time I have itās tough to keep up on the file format changes and getting to the Titan Quest love let alone updating all the mods constantly.
Sorry to hear about the loss, I know the feeling! Character editors (especially dll modifying ones such as the GD Defiler/TQ Defiler) constantly get flagged (falsey) by AV as a virus, as it literally has virus like behavior (modifying memory and/or DLL files). Some of the AV out there that isnāt quite as good at the heuristics will flag stuff like the editors for that, but they also have a way to submit them for analysis usually (which may help stop that from happening in the future).
Let me know if you still have this issue, there is also an MSI installer now you may try (Iāll post the link after this post).
You may try the MSI installer version of the GD Defiler (which will be the only version here soon anyway). Iāll post the link after this.
Character editor for Grim Dawn, sorry I need to add more detailsā¦a lot of users come from Titan Quest and know what it does via the TQ Defiler.
Also, found this gem in the patch notes:
Fixed a bug with Illusions not saving properly if a character was equipped with an item they could no longer wear due to requirement changes.
Looks like the issue with the remove mastery should be resolved, if someone who was having the issue could test and post back it would be appreciated!
Also, those with website issues Iāve significantly reduced the filtering on my end, please let me know if you still have issues!
