Please try again, I updated the publish URLs to https, not sure if it’ll help but worth a shot.
I am also getting that same error. I tried re-downloading but it didn’t work.

I get the same error when it’s directing to the https.
I uninstall the 0.2.2 ver and install new 0.2.3 ver. I can’t find GDDeFiler from start menu anymore. But why I can’t install new version. It’s said that ‘you cannot start application gd defiler from this location’ anytime. Can you help me to install this

I’m going to do some research today to find a reasonably priced install packager solution, it’s getting to be more and more clear that the web publish isn’t a viable way to try distributing the application as too many people have issues and too many things can break it (AV, IE security zone settings, etc.).
I’m doing some network maintenance today so things will be going down here shortly (website, etc.), after it all comes back up I’ll see what I can do to remove the publish aspect of the GD Defiler.

Maintenance is over, everything should be up and running.
For those of you having trouble (or anyone else feeling adventurous), please try this packaged installer:

If you have the publish already installed, please uninstall first before using the installer above. In my testing this looks to be the way to go.

Glad that resolves it! I’ll be working to add an update available check a la the old TQ Defiler to the GD Defiler, and will stick with the new installer. I’ll be pushing a publish after that forcing those still on the publish to switch (but only after I’ve got the update check incorporated).

Updated the installer to require Windows 7 at a minimum, and to bootstrap the install of .Net Framework 4.7.2 at the end if needed. Please let me know if it causes issues.

Just posted a new version, this will begin the removal of the publish version of the GD Defiler.

-Added update check with the ability to easily choose to update now or later.
-Disabled error reporting/suggestion screen for now as the email server no longer provides this functionality.
-Updated application manifest to require administrative rights in order to update/mod properly.
-Published version now forces use of packaged installer.
