[Tool] GD save file editor

You should be able to find all the commands on the documentation wiki (there should be a link near the top of this thread for it). To get you going though here are a few commands

To show all shrines
shrine list

Adding activated shrines

set shrines/0 “Ancient Grove” or
set shrines/0 all

You may still need to get the rewards for activating the shrines and the devotions unless the editor got updated to do those at the same time. You can set devotion points with the editor so it’s not a big deal, it’s just an extra step or teo to do so.

Yes, that would add shrines, but how would you remove them from a list? I can’t find any documentation on removing/deactivating a shrine you’ve already touched, aside from a claim in this thread that you can do so.

It appears the set of commands isn’t documented or in the help file. It also seems the commands I provided aren’t working. I turned off one shrine using GD Stash and then tried turning it back on in gd-edit. It added it but it didn’t show as turned on in GD Stash, which it should have if I understand the behaviour. Need to reach out to Odie on this. I may have misunderstand what he built when I originally asked for the capability to manipulate shrines and rift gates.

In the mean time you could try GD Stash to try and turn shrines on and off (I’m not sure it works in that tool either)

Hello, I found that the generated archive entries are slightly different from the entries set in BD
like this

But this is true in the game

Ultimately I was able to solve the problem without needing to use an editor by joining a co-op session and having the host complete the bugged quest.
Good luck with the shrine behavior!

There are various Redeemer’s prefixes, I suppose the editor chooses a random one, similar to what it was with relic completion bonus before the update.

Yes, I know, but is it easy to fix?

Another question is that the generated role skill bar is empty, can it be set to set the skills automatically?

The skill points of the game are not the same as those of BD

Howdy!

Sorry for taking such a long time.
I really am unable to reproduce the error you’re encountering.

Here’s what I get when I run the character:

C:\Users\odie\Downloads>gd-edit.exe broken-char-1.json
gd-edit 0.2.419 [build 51c5b98]

local save dir seems to be: C:\Users\odie\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main
Saving character to

Moving the directory didn't seem to work...
Copying and overwriting instead...

The same happens with the other broken character you linked:

I’m not sure if it makes a difference, but here’s the version of java I’m running:

C:\Users\odie\Downloads>java -version
java version "1.8.0_211"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_211-b12)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.211-b12, mixed mode)

If none of this helps, you might want to re-download the editor, just in case.

Thanks for a response. Redownloading or downgrading Java to the same build didn’t help. I’ll go back to GDStashing.

可能是安装mod的问题
This may be the problem of installing mod. I have encountered this situation with you, but I have never encountered it again after reinstalling and removing mod

Can you help me look at the problem of inaccurate entries and skill points

What do you mean by “mod”? Mods just sit there in Grim Dawn/mods folder and don’t have anything to do with it.

Just try it yourself, and you’ll know if it matters

I don’t know what you mean by “reinstalling the mod”. Do you mean reinstalling the game? Also I’d expect for the author of the program to suggest reinstallation if it could help.

Sorry, my English is not very good. There may be some errors in the translation software. I think your error may be caused by mod. You can try to delete all your mod

Yeah, I’ll try to make a fix available soon that will pick the exact variant picked by grimtools. It’ll probably be available later today or tomorrow.

Can you send me the link or file of the character you’re using so I can reproduce this? The editor is supposed to match up the skill levels exactly.

Hi @Odie !

I tried to implement 5 characters done in GrimTools into the game, using your tool, but with two characters, I got the error “Caught exception: bit operation not supported for: class clojure.lang.Ratio”.

More in screen below.

The two characters, which got the error were:

Thanks for reply or help.
