So you add them to the char, not the shared stash, correct ?
Are you using cloud save ?
Never heard of this before… your char should definitely still exist. Can you still see it in the tool after closing and starting the tool again ?
The tool only writes the player.gdc file, all the explored areas and quests are untouched, so do you still have those when creating the char again ?
Finally, the tool keeps the old char file around, renamed to player.g0# with.g00 being the modt recent one, .g01 being the one before and so forth.
When you rename that file back to .gdc, do you see the char again in game ?
with cloud save this is true, for local saves I have no issues as long as the char is not the one I am playing (and if I am playing that char this only means my changes get lost).
Yes, I can see the stash contents when I open the stash transfer screen and I have confirmed the contents displayed are actually what is in the stash.
I want to clarify, it’s not that it is taking 15 minutes to complete the import, I am killing the GDStash process after waiting 15 minutes because it never returns. It does not display any of the contents from the stash at all in the table below the button row.
Apologies, I am not trying to disparage your tool because it looks great, just can’t figure out why it is not working for me.
then use that to import, chances are you have few chars, so this should be fast

I understand that, the point remains, it should not take 15 minutes

no worries The tool will look through all subdirs of the specified location in search of GD stash and char files.
Because of this my only explanation is that you do not set the dir on the Mass Import page itself, which by default is your documents dir, which could explain the long runtime. You said you are setting it correctly though, which leaves me with no real explanation…
I will check if I can replicate it, but last I tried it worked fine and I have not changed that part in a long time
I confirmed that I am setting the import directory to C:\Users\Username\Documents\MyGames\GrimDawn\save in the mass import tool and that my character save dirs and transfer/formula files reside in that directory. I will take your advice and use the other approach.
Thanks again for the time and patience in responding to all my queries. I can only hope someone is as helpful to you as you are being to me.
you do it on the same page you store the item from the shared stash in the tool. On the top left corner there is a Search button, use that to find items that match your search criteria.
maybe I misunderstood the question… no, you cannot directly move items between the char inventory and the shared stash in the tool, as you can do this in GD, I did not really see any point in adding this
I’m doing this steps: Create my stash at the crafting tab, save my stash then in the char transfer tab, i put them (itens) in my char inventory (not at char stash or bag tab). When i run the game, my char is gone. if i erase the items, my char appears normally with all the other stuff.
The cloud save is activated.
I can see it in the tool after closing and start it again.
All areas still untouched but not the quests (all gone) when i create the char again.
I’ve never edited .gdc files!
I’ve been trying to get GD stash to run, i’ve installed java 64 bit and everything but i cant seem to get the executable to even run. Not really sure what i’m doing wrong since i’ve followed the instructions in the sub directory and it hasnt really done much. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The documentation does not really contain much information about starting the program (as opposed to installation, configuration, etc.) as that should be pretty straightforward.
Double-click the .jar file, the .bat file or the .exe file.
If any if these fail, that is a local issue. Run the .bat from the command line to see if you get any error messages.
As you provided no details, I cannot really help you. That the .exe also does not start indicates an authorization problem or maybe your virus scanner interferes or something like that.
