That actually seemed to be the case since i disabled my antivirus the executable was able to run fine, i was quite perplexed as to why it wasnt running because indeed as you said it’s quite the instructions to run the program are quite straightforward. thanks for your help
For some reason i cant locate the directory /Documents/Grim dawn/Save.
The save folder wasnt there for some reason !? I create it myself but it says its unable to locate. And cant move forward.
Does the dir not exist or does the tool not accept it ?
If it does not exist, you use cloud save, which stores its saves in a different location. Check the documentation for the exact location.
If the tool does not accept it, make sure to have a shared stash in it by talking to the Smuggler in Devil’s Crossing.
Hello,
I’ve been using GD Stash for a very long time now, and I’m glad it exists because it helps me in managing my legendaries, so thank you for the tool! Recently I decided that, since there are quite a few characters I don’t use any longer, I didn’t want their rare crafting materials such as Ancient Heart, Blood of Ch’thon, and Tainted Brain Matter go to waste, so I moved them to the database. Now that I should like to transfer them to one of my latest characters, I cannot find them, though. I checked all the boxes for items, but the rare materials don’t show up at all. Where and how would I find them?
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
DeadByDefault
You need to tick the box that lets you transfer soulbound items, on the config page. Then search for quest items.
Ah, thank you very much!
Hello!
Using GD Stash for the 1rst time, thank you so much for your hard work.
I’m getting these 2 errors while importing the database:
error 1:
Error reading C:\Users\Vivien\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save\main_Houh\player.gdc
error 2:

and these warnings,
Tag tagTorsoA001 not found in tags_items.txt
Tag tagEnchantA01 not found in tags_items.txt
Nevermind I deleted the character that was posing an issue, and the import worked fine, I still have those 2 warnings tho.
The warnings you can ignore, the char file would have been interesting as I should support every format since the full release… if this is a really old char from back in the beta days then either load it in game (if that still supports it) to upgrade it to the current format, or delete it, like you did.
If it was newer, it would have been interesting to see why it failed
If you are not using the latest version of GD Stash (unlikely since you just started using it), switch to the latest one. When Crate changes the format in a new release, older version of GD Stash can no longer read it, resulting in such error messages.
Version 1.1.2a released
Minor tweaks
Ah, thanks?
Minor problems now.
1.) Had to tell the programm to use the steam save game directory.
2.) Stash shown is wrong. Looks like it´s a week or so old.
what directory did you use before ? It stores the dir you configured, so it should keep using the dir you had specified for the previous version
The tool can only show you what is in the stash, so that stash should be one weak old. The items in game and in the tool are the same unless you are using cloud save while the tool looks at the local dir or vice versa
Problem using Stasher mod (and mods that incorporate Stasher) with GD Stash. Problem is with displaying char stash in char transfer tab. See attached image. Inventory and Bags tabs are unaffected:
Interesting, other than the page being bigger than it should, it seems to be working correctly though.
Will have to see if I can locate that, the actual page is the right size, it is the background that is too big
I used the steam directory before.
Tried the other one, same result.
Also, I noticed that GD Stash now shows five tabs.
Something is off here.
Yes, it’s getting ready for the expansion which will add another stash tab.
I think I am getting ready to go back one GD Stash version.
If only i could find a link.
Edit:
Problem solved. Again, I was the problem. Because I am stupid. Sorry about that.
GD Stash once again got blocked by my firewall. Guess I will have to remember, that it does that now.
Once a version is old, there is no link any more, why keep old versions around
Nothing I changed would explain different behavior for your stash file, the 5 pages is for the expansion.
I uploaded 1.12 here so you can go back
Hello,
GD Stash doesn’t work for me, it can find my installastion direction but is unable to do the same for my save directory.
I have a classic path trough C:\Users
estalim\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save , and still, only a message “Wrong File directory” will appear.
You went too far.
Stop at C:\Users
estalim\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn
That should work. (Point to the folder the save folder is in.)
