[Tool] GD Stash

I am having trouble getting GD Stash to load my stash in “Stash Transfer” tab. Here are my screenshots:

  1. You can see that there is nothing loaded on the “Stash Transfer” tab. Also, I cannot select the 2nd stash slot “II”. I have already bought it in the game.

  2. Here, you can see that after selecting my character, it shows my stash. Even the 2nd stash slot is correctly shown. However, when I try to move the item to GD Stash, the item disappears on GD Stash but nothing gets saved on GD Stash and it was not removed in-game.

  3. The save directory is correct and I have disabled cloud saving.

  4. This is the save folder on my computer.

I found another thread on the same issue but the problem just went away for the thread-starter so it was of no help to me. Please help me with this issue.

1 shows your shared stash, 2 shows your personal stash…

That changes to your personal stash are not reflected in game is due to the fact that you are playing the char, so GD already has that data loaded.

So how do I make the “Stash Transfer” tab work?

It does work, figure out how to switch between the two stashes in GD… there is a button for that in the Smuggler

I found my mistake. I thought the 2 people logo means I’m on shared stash. But I was on private stash all along.

Why can’t I obtain the projected stats every time I craft? I only reach around 50-60% of the projected stats.

The item shows the base stats in GD Stash, RNG then gives it some variance in GD where it can be higher or lower than the base.

If you are consistently lower on a stat (i.e. you craft 10 items and they all are lower), then it probably is an error in GD Stash. The tool does not really show the values in the GD data itself but scales them up a bit to better match what GD displays. Maybe for these particular stats that scaling does not happen in GD. It’s not like it is documented for which ones GD performs it

Randomized seed. GD Stash doesn’t know the end result. Seems mamba replied before me, and more detailed.

Been looking into this a bit and I seem to get the closest results (for this particular item at least) when scaling the flat and % bonuses of the prefix, but only the % bonuses of the suffix (not the flat bonuses) - and not scaling Crit % (which also comes from the suffix).

No idea if this is a general rule, but it gives pretty accurate predictions.

Can someone explain the process, to copy a stash? I’m trying to transfer my Hardcore Character Stash to the regular game. But it’s not working, I’m loading form directory, saving, then when I try to import it says the items transferred but nothing is transferring.

Also having issues with unlock all illusions, it just hangs and freeze GD stash.

This tool is not meant to transfer stashes, it is meant to store items beyond the limits of your stash.

The easiest way to transfer your HC stash to SC is to copy it and renamge it to transfer.gst

it is transferring into the tool’s database, not sure how you decided it did not…

works for me, but it might take a few minutes to complete. If it takes longer, run it from the command line to see if you get any exception

I guess then, what I’m trying to do is transfer items from GD database to a character I want to play.

And how do I run the command line, for the illusions? I left it for about an hour and nothing it just hangs,. and I have to use task manager to close GD stash.

you search for them and place them in the transfer stash

An hour definitely sounds like an issue. Open a command line, navigate to the GD Stash dir and run the .bat on it.

I backed up my entire “save” -folder just in case.

I want to use my main from the vanilla game in a mod.

I turned off cloud-saves in Steam. I deleted cloud saves in-game in options, but now no charters show in the screen? How do i turn local-saves on?

I used “grim dawn stash” 1.60 to edit the local save, added the tickbox “in mod” to my charter. I also tried copying the char in the “user” folder. I presume thats the “mod charter” -folder.

What am i doing wrong?

Even so you can only use existing characters in a mod if you change them to that mod using GDStash’s character editing ability. There’s no other way to do it.

Oookkey, back to the beginning.

Save folder backed up. Cloud saves off. Deleted.

Went in-game, made a new mod-char “grimtest” (easy-to-search name)
It does NOT appear in C:\Users[MY USER]\Documents\My Games\Grim Dawn\save nor user
It does NOT appear in X:\STEAM\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn\save

Where is it? I presume i should move my “vanilla” char, with GDS “in mod” ticked to that folder? Right…?

Open Explorer. Go to the root C:\ drive. Click the search field. Type in _grimtest

Wait for results. If it is on your hard-drive it should turn up.

Found “grimtest”
D:\Steam\userdata\41776132\219990\remote\save\user

I tried to copy the “in mod” GDS modified vanilla char there but it wont show in-game.

It should either be in save\main or save\user, never in save directly. In either the local or cloud save dir

This means that cloud-saving is not fully off, for whatever reason. Which is why it isn’t showing in-game.
