Dunno if it will make a difference, but try running GI as Administrator. I do that and I never experienced any crashes directly related to GI (just the usual occasional crashes in Multiplayer games when someone joins/leaves/teleports)
Also check if your Antivirus tool is messing with GI files (Bitdefender for example does that)
Appreciate the replies. Typically happens after Iâve played a while, not immediately, although, yesterday, when I exited the game after one run to start another it crashed and that was only playing for maybe 15 minutes. Iâve added it to Steam which is generally how I run it, but Iâll certainly try just running the .exe straight from the folder as an admin and see if that helps. Avira seems to have no issues with the program that I can tell. Windows version is 10.0.17134 Build 17134.
I should be clear that these are lock-ups of the game that never recover. Eventually the screen turns gray, if I click something it says âDo you want to wait for the program to recover or close itâ that sort of thing. It never recovers. And, only sometimes does it put together a crash report to send out.
I do appreciate everyoneâs suggestions and Iâll certainly give them all a try. Love the program and I really dislike playing without it!
Hello, iâd like to know if there is a way to disable the âyou are deadâ message ?
I donât seems to find the option inside the configurator, neither inside the .ini file.
in 1366x768 resolution, when i press ctrl+f5 to open Configurator. it alway display like pic below and i need drag it to see full window. can you do something or just move teleport function to the top
So, Iâve added GI to Aviraâs exception list and been running it in Admin mode all day. Far less crashes today, but not entirely eliminated. It seems to only happen after running for a while or sometimes when I exit the game to start another session, say. Hasnât happened while trying to port to another location at all today.
Re: whether Grim Dawn ever crashes when Iâm not using it. I canât say it NEVER crashed, but it was quite rare; once a week or so. Today it has crashed three times and prior to running in admin it was crashing a few times an hour.
I made a silent GI update⌠The Configurator now uses the CenterToScreen() method.
Download GI again and see if it fits better for your screen-resolution.
Download GI again and add âAlwaysShowBossHealthPercent=trueâ under [Settings] to the .ini file; this will show the health% for Heroes+ regardless what youâve selected in the Configurator.
Edit: Something is up cause It doesnt work properly,it gets messed up after encountering the first bosstype monster.
I had in the configurator window all the % values ticked to be hidden and it works on the first boss monster but encountering common types it gets messed up and shows their percent aswell. On top of that As i said i had the Configurator options ticked then out of knowhere it unticked it :s
