[Tool] Grim Internals (v1.1.9.8 only)

Dunno if it will make a difference, but try running GI as Administrator. I do that and I never experienced any crashes directly related to GI (just the usual occasional crashes in Multiplayer games when someone joins/leaves/teleports)

Also check if your Antivirus tool is messing with GI files (Bitdefender for example does that)

Appreciate the replies. Typically happens after I’ve played a while, not immediately, although, yesterday, when I exited the game after one run to start another it crashed and that was only playing for maybe 15 minutes. I’ve added it to Steam which is generally how I run it, but I’ll certainly try just running the .exe straight from the folder as an admin and see if that helps. Avira seems to have no issues with the program that I can tell. Windows version is 10.0.17134 Build 17134.

I should be clear that these are lock-ups of the game that never recover. Eventually the screen turns gray, if I click something it says “Do you want to wait for the program to recover or close it” that sort of thing. It never recovers. And, only sometimes does it put together a crash report to send out.

I do appreciate everyone’s suggestions and I’ll certainly give them all a try. Love the program and I really dislike playing without it!

Hello, i’d like to know if there is a way to disable the “you are dead” message ?
I don’t seems to find the option inside the configurator, neither inside the .ini file.

Make sure you add it in the AV’s exception to rule this case out and also i wanted to ask if you get the crashes when you are Not using it.

This is hardcoded if i recall in the dll file, we can ask Glocky to add an option to remove/enable/disable the notification

in 1366x768 resolution, when i press ctrl+f5 to open Configurator. it alway display like pic below and i need drag it to see full window. can you do something or just move teleport function to the top

So, I’ve added GI to Avira’s exception list and been running it in Admin mode all day. Far less crashes today, but not entirely eliminated. It seems to only happen after running for a while or sometimes when I exit the game to start another session, say. Hasn’t happened while trying to port to another location at all today.

Re: whether Grim Dawn ever crashes when I’m not using it. I can’t say it NEVER crashed, but it was quite rare; once a week or so. Today it has crashed three times and prior to running in admin it was crashing a few times an hour.

I made a silent GI update… The Configurator now uses the CenterToScreen() method.
Download GI again and see if it fits better for your screen-resolution.

I recommend to set ShowMemoryUsage=True in the .ini file.

So you can see if it’s a memory problem ( Mem: 3,2k or higher) when a crash occurs.

Download GI again and add “ShowDeathMessage=false” under [Settings] to the .ini file.

Glocky is there a chance to separate the “Show % health” from common to only heroes+ like you did with the names?

Wow awesome, thanks for your very useful work with GI, it brings so many QoL change to GD

[Edit] Works perfectly, thanks again !

There is a good chance … :stuck_out_tongue:

Download GI again and add “AlwaysShowBossHealthPercent=true” under [Settings] to the .ini file; this will show the health% for Heroes+ regardless what you’ve selected in the Configurator.

My hero <3 Like always badass

Edit: Something is up cause It doesnt work properly,it gets messed up after encountering the first bosstype monster.
I had in the configurator window all the % values ticked to be hidden and it works on the first boss monster but encountering common types it gets messed up and shows their percent aswell. On top of that As i said i had the Configurator options ticked then out of knowhere it unticked it :s

Oh ok!
This routine has become quite complicated over the time;
many flags have to be considered.
Will try to fix it tomorrow!

oops my bad then :s driving you crazy with all these requests
take your time, thanks for even bothering with it

Sure…that’s all your fault! :stuck_out_tongue: and not because I’m getting old and make a lot of careless mistakes these days… :frowning:

So, I couldn’t resist and I fixed the issue right now; please download GI again! (Sorry for the circumstances)

I actually don´t have a request or a bug to report, so let me just say, that you still are quite awesome, GlockenGerda, consider yourself e-hugged.

I must agree! Amazing talent and program you have provided to us and and then to offer such great support afterwards?!? Hat’s off to you, really!

P.S. I’ll enable the display of memory usage and report back.

Nice its working properly now :] that wasnt a hassle for you i hope

People are never old nor are you, me and my requests drained you all these times I must be and feel older than most peeps in here :stuck_out_tongue:

@tzqng8 Also check your CPU and GPU usage when using you GrimInternals bruh

Thanks a lot for the kind words, guys! hugs back

Nah, it only took 2-3 min. to find the issue.
