⭐ Top 20 Softcore builds, End of Forgotten Gods Edition [1.2.1.6]

I think he calls temporary pets secondary , he used his own terminology I guess

Less points to master. IE: Primal takes 12 and briar takes 40

My best gear for this is not real great, I tried it and it may take my best build spot for Ritualist. I can’t know until lots and lots of tests as they are super close.

Yeah I just made that up for speed. Is there a term I should be using?

Temporary pets is fine.

I was thinking Skeletons also as they require a lot less points to enable.

1.3 PT expectedly started. We’ll monitor the changes. They will alter throughout the PT, and assuming the usual workflow, nothing will be set in stone until the last minute.

The initial log indicates some retal dmg nerf, Sigil spam deletion from the game (kinda expected) and some yet to be revealed DE nerfs. Nothing build breaking otherwise so far. So if you for some reason wanted to dedicate your life to sigil spam, you might want to reconsider. Otherwise investing time into any other build is safe. For now.
In the long term nothing is :scorv:

Budget / SSF pre-Hellborne setup :stuck_out_tongue: Shieldbreaker, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator there’s a chance I’ll make a leveling guide for it sometime

Did you test it? Seems too thin without regen stack

No, I decided against it in this theorycraft (but I’m totally open to adding it back in if needed) and tried to compensate with

  • up to 2.6k more armor with procs than the OP (Chariot + Targo combo)

  • more points in Blast Shield

  • more Life Leech

because

  • OA / DA and other stats are hard to come buy (Dawnguard doesn’t have any) on these budget items and I don’t have access to legendaries that have it

    • this is were Chariot is very helpful which I would lose with Behemoth
  • Behemoth + Scythe don’t give that much without Hellborne’s bonus in GT by the look of it

  • Vine Rings should be easily reset farmed to have the magic affixes I want so I wanted to avoid Gollus farming, they also give more skill points

I DO have Health Regen on a similar budget Archon

Someone was kind to test it for me and even without the conduit’s Max All res and duration to Vines (Kaisan used before) they said it can beat Ravager / play SR 30/31 with it (not super well ofc)

I think it sorta has some potential for damage on paper but sustain has to be fixed with regen, there is no other choice. Otherwise it will be very hard to play.

Am I the only one who thinks acid needs overall buff :face_with_monocle:
Just like what aether used to be.

I would say Acid could some surgical buffs to underperforming skills and items and devotions, not blanket rr buff. But not before Physical.

Clair waited long enough to be called top. And it still doesn’t use half of its proficiency, but that’s an issue for another day.

Any tips/suggestions when this is going to be elaborated, please?

what’s it not using that it should be using?

Do you mean the team behind this list does not use items which would make aether AAR Spellbinder stronger? As i don’t udnerstand “And it still doesn’t use half of its proficiency”.

i don’t follow, “what do you want it to use” - that it’s not currently using?
what’s missing/what’s the “half proficiency” currently not being used/applied in your view?
you’re the one stating clair is not a “full” effect, so what’s the part(s) you feel is left out?(misread quote/OP reference)
full=100% > half=50%, what’s the “50%”/remaining part you want there to be to reach “full” proficiency

I think they just mean that the Clairvoyant set boosts AAR, Reap Spirit, and Doom Bolt. (And curse of frailty for aether warlocks.)

And this build ONLY uses the AAR stuff. So in theory you could do more with the set. Like a Warlock who uses both doom bolt and AAR.

But channeling builds don’t really do well when you have to interrupt the channeling, so that probably isn’t a good idea. So we end up with the Clairvoyant set that is mostly good for the AAR stuff.

That’s a quote from the text of the top 20 build, not their own opinion.

if only there was a way to highlight that so it appeared clearer and not like a regular comment  i just don’t rememer a snippet posted from 10days ago

sry @AngmarDT i’m not realizing you’re “quoting” without quoting OP

*i’m just sitting there browsing the GT looking at the items etc, wondering what BiS stuff is being talked about @_@ as it looks normal to me and only thing that stands out to me is the medal as slight different :flushed:

i think it’s Reap Spirit, they’ve complained about it for 2-3 years Upheaval, Doom bolt, EoR, radii (bottom op mention) , doesn’t contribute to aoe and interrupts aar (chance reset bad/annoying) - last PTR they reiterated overhaul desire for set modifier too

I did complain several times in the past that Reap Spirit needs to have a scalable blast radius.

Hi, I’ve got about 85% of the gear and augments going on the Warder and it’s easily one of the most powerful builds I’ve played. Albeit I seldom, if ever, play retal.

I wonder why they are turbo-nerfing the Sigil-spam playstyle? I mean it’s clear from these rankings it’s not even the strongest build, there are plenty of others that compete with it.
If they think it’s too strong they could at add a -%dmg mod on the shield or scepter so you can still play Sigils that way, just my two cents.
