Hi mad! I finally finished your Pyran Shieldbreaker build(Oh wait, the build itself was made by grey-maybe😂)! Farming was fun, but more than anything, I didn’t know kiting could be this fun😂 I have a few questions!
- One of my gollus rings has the suffix ‘attack’ instead of ‘readiness’. So my DA went down by about -50, and my OA went up by about 35. Is the difference significant enough that I should farm the ring again? If it’s a big difference, I’ll farm it again.
- From what I saw in your ravager kill video, it looks like you do some face tanking except to avoid sunder (Oh sorry! The ravager kill video is also grey-maybe’s
). But I can’t face tank like in the video and I just die. Could it be because of the new restrictions on potion use due to the patch? But after many attempts I managed to kill Ravager in 59 seconds! This build is literally fire:joy:

Ludrigan Druid (also in top 20) is quite similar, in that you put down stationary pets that shoot stuff. Very safe celestial killer.

no no no, that’s crazy, your ring is plenty good. If you feel like your DA is a bit low and you are getting peppered a bit too much increase it thru other means
Depends if you have a similiar spec overall. Post your grimtools so I can say if it’s the gear or maybe piloting factor. Also I am actually not sure of the success rate of such facetanking, maybe @grey-maybe can say how he did it.
Ludrigan is indeed the build. If you want a bit more active caster try Barrelsmith Sorc.

This is my GT!
Looking at it again, it seems like it’s because the level of pyran’s pyre equipped on the phoenix fire is low. It has damage absorption. When I looked at the build with GT, the phoenix fire was empty. And most importantly, it seems like there is a pilot issue🤮. Thanks for the build recommendation too! I was also looking at the barrelsmith sorcerer!
One little trick that I use and recommend using is optimizing your augments for that fight. Like the cost of that is really nothing but the impact can be significant. Especially if your Bleeding resist is not overcapped than plugging two 15% bleeding resist augments instead of any of your irrelevant for Ravager resist augments will help a lot. You can push it further by changing irrelevant for that fight augments to %hp or DA augments or even DA/regen ones.
Phoenix Fire will barely help against Ravager, so at this point it’s gonna be up to piloting. Dodging Sunders is a must.
EDIT: Maybe having a bigger Blast shield for the fight might help too (in theory you can sell Rebuke and Vire points for that fight).

Wow… why didn’t I think of selling vire points… I never used vire in ravager lol. I think I had a subconscious idea that I should use the build itself. I think that just putting points into blast shield would make a big difference. And the resistance value adjustment you mentioned! Now that I’ve completed one build, I need to learn how to apply it. How much issue are reflect mobs for the Avenger Warder? I play only HC
I checked Steps of Torment on Archon and there were no real issues there. Warder should be able to absorb more reflect due to higher regen and %damage absorption.
