So far I love the gameplay and it’s overall gorgeous. But I just noticed that my village is a little lifeless. Maybe this is realistic of frontier life, but I think it would be nice to see some people outside the houses doing laundry, cooking, outside an inn, etc. I know some of the shops show their people working, and that’s what I’d love to see more of just as a frivolous thing. Even if the house residents are all of working it would be cool to have a “dummy” person just working in the yard just for flavor.
Good news! The latest playtest has people periodically go home to do laundry and dance at the festival pole and try their hand at an oration in front of the theater (among behaviors I have personally watched). There’s also praying at a shrine, cooking, and “mourning”. I’m not sure what that last one involves, but maybe it’s walking to the graveyard?
