The way AI handles transferring goods is very lacking. Wagons are idling when villagers spending a lot of time transferring goods. For example wagons won’t go pick up products from smoke house, fishing/foraging huts etc while picking up sand produced at sandpit!?
Also there is no system to tell where to prioritize stocking goods. Unticking a certain good doesn’t make villagers carry it to another storage. It will stay there forever unless by pure chance some villager takes it.
There needs to be a way to tell villagers/wagons to carry goods over certain amount to somewhere else. I had smoke houses and fishing huts away from village with a storage close to them so they wouldn’t be walking a lot. All the smoked fish is sitting there and market worker goes to pick up from there while wagons idling “waiting for a task”.
Another issue is root cellar doesn’t seem to be prioritized over normal storages for food. And since I can’t control it in anyway, my root cellar was only 10-20% full whole game.
For me so far this is the most frustrating part of the game. You cannot really control storages.
Suggestion: Let us set stock limits for products and make wagons automatically carry goods around when limit is surpassed. Would help a ton.
