Tree Values

So I’ve put 190 hours into this beast so far and I hate myself for it!

An observation to take or leave… as we end up having to plant trees to create forests to be able to harvest for wood, I inevitably end up planting a monoculture of Oak, as it yields 7 wood per tree. The others only offer much less (with spruce only giving out 2 wood). I’d like to plant a variety of species for extensive forests, but I usually really need the wood to pay out. Hence the landscape doesn’t look as good as it could if I (we) were to plant multiple species. I get that in real life an oak has greater value than a spruce, but is there any real value to this in the game? Does it make sense to make the trees equivalent in wood output to promote a more diverse use of planted trees? Maybe I’m missing something here. Regardless, just an observation. As always, (you) the developers are doing a great job!
