FG is optional once you kill the Warden at the end of Act 1 Normal and are at least L15. So you can jump in at that point or go to it at any time after that on that difficulty. If you move from Normal to Elite, you’d need to kill the Warden again to access it in Elite. Same for Ultimate difficulty.
I’ts more of a side story so the smoothest progression is GD - AoM - FG.
So how did one create a custom game, like “I wanna start from scratch!” by mods?
I recall it just required creating a new folder somewhere…

Download and install the mod. In the character menu click on Main Campaign and then choose Custom Game, then choose the mod you want to play. Make a new character and start the session as usual.
I remember there was a way w/out needin to install anything, just don’t remember the folders ya had to edit…
Can’t play a mod without installing it. Mods need to go into
Steam\Steamapps\Common\Grim Dawn\mods
or
GOG Galaxy\Games\Grim Dawn\mods
Just ended up nuking the saves and turning off cloud.

Also added FG, OK has so much potential of doing builds, that end up wasting massive amounts of time to something, that doesn’t work after elite.

Doable or not just to push both masteries to 50.
