Updating Old Epics to Mythical Status

sorry man! Lol

ANYWAY, Explorers set could still be a good alternative to lokarrs along with xp pot, leo rings, and other xp gain gear

I’d say its not worth it, its just around 10% gain in rate (alternative b). Getting gear toward killing speed is more likely more efficient.

Therefore - I vote NO against M. Explorers set existance

I’d like to see Mark of the Nymph as a Mythical Item. I know the medal slot is crowded for pet items, but it’s great to see more items that you can use to heal your pets - especially if you’re playing a Ritualist or other non-Occultist pet where you don’t have Blood of Dreeg to heal your pets.

I’d also like to see Empowered Marrow Band and other pet items that grant you the Reckless Guardian pet (only found in some green off-hands) as Mythical items. Being able to summon more pets in battle like the Bysmiel’s Command dog and giving them niches (like the Stalwart Guardian having high HP and a taunt ability while the Reckless Guardian has some sort of Frenzy ability that helps your other pets) would be great additions as well.

Otherwise, I’d like to see pet Rings in general have more pet Resistances while also not having any conversion. Pet resistances can be very hard to come by, and most of the time your equipment is bound by whatever gives you the best skill bonuses. Having good generic pet rings that give needed resistances would really help in that regard.

I hope Empowered Devil’s Grin will also get the mythical upgrade, like adding +1 to soldier and/or blade arc support so it work together with Eldritch Gaze.

Hell yes +1 to mark of the nymph- didnt even know about this item!!! Another healing item! Yes! Where can i find this thing!

Lapis Lupus https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/844
Badge of Crimson Company https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/763

They complete each other, so devs can make this a 2 pieced set with a mythical edition. Could be a good upgrade to blademaster builds with a few improvements on resistances.

Avarice of Androneus https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/845
A very good necklace for builds in need of resistances and aura stats. A mythical version could be useful.

Beast Slayer’s Mark https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/780 A mythical version could be used in warder builds, atleast creates some alternative for whose in need of OA.

Lifebloom Band https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/1018 Mostly useless even in leveling characters. A mythical version with a good proc(like chance on attack skill with adtch) could be used for survivability.

Oldenar’s Stabilizer https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/1084. A mythical version could be used in builds that in need of DA.

Stoneskin Girdle https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/1078. With a better proc a mythical version could be used to get some resists and stats.

Essence of Beronath https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/885. A good necklace for elemental builds, need a mythical version with a proc or better stats equal to amulet of the eye.

Marauder’s Judgment Set. https://www.grimtools.com/db/itemsets/9 A great set for Sorcerer’s. Both melee and ranged build can use a mythical version. Ofc ranged builds can use full set for dual wield or stats but melee builds can use 2 or 3 piece to get stats and use that great gloves.

Zealot’s Gauntlets https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/1208. A mythical version will rock in dervish builds.

Wildcaller’s Call https://www.grimtools.com/db/itemsets/34 Can create an alternative for lightning builds. Ultos give physical damage and for other shaman combinations it’s useless but this can give boosts for some builds.

What was this? Was that the upgrade?

That was Empowered version of exlorer’s set.

Did we have Empowered items back when the game was fully released?

Do you able to find patch notes himself?

Well, the patch notes are linked above, but that was for Build 31 which was the last early access one before the game was fully released. But yes, it seems Empowered items were around a lot earlier than I thought.

You are right! Emowered was deed at B29:

246 low level Epic items have been recreated as Empowered high level versions to provide more loot variety above level 50 and to bring back your favorites from the lower levels.

aether

Oh, how times have changed.

Empowered Nether Crown I always thought that this helmet is very useful for both caster and melee arcanist builds. It deserves a mythical version.

Looks like most particular items that came to my mind were already mentioned, but I’ll list most desirable again: Stoneskin Girdle, Fanatic’s Overcoat, Mutagenic Seal, Nether Crown, Soulthief, any pierce gloves (Silktouch Handwraps or Shadow’s Grasp would be great). Additional to that I would like to mention Mistwalker Leggings and Decorated Pauldrons. IMO, the latter could be granted additional distinctive affixes.

Also, I have more general suggention. I think Epics need exclusive role in the game, not just being inferior to Mythicals. IMO, this role could be sets that occupy slots that are rarely used by Mythicals, such as boots, gloves and pants. There are already such sets, for example, Soothsayer, Marauder, Blazeseer and Eastern, but only minority of them are top level. We need more of them. I think it would be great to have a set of boots, belt, pants and medal.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Soulthief’s model. Be cool to see this updated and/or have more weapons have similar skins < 3

Empowered Devil’s Charm, with hopefully support for elemental damage as well.

Not sure if it was already mentioned but Hermit’s Legguards are pretty unique since they boost %all damage. Mythical version will act as nice placeholder for Arcane harmony or other legendary pants.

I’d like to see more items that provide damage conversion for pets (and ideally ones that don’t displace current sets). There’s not nearly enough of this. Converting chaos and aether damage are particularly hard, but there aren’t a lot of ways to convert in general. Maybe I’m just new to the game, but it feels difficult to do elemental builds with an Occulist/Necromancer that uses Skeletons even though it’s almost there. Generally, I’d like to have a lot more convert options in general for pets so it becomes more about choosing what pets you like with a theme.

Also, I was thinking about Golemancers in Diablo 2 and I was wondering if there was a way to have a Monster Infrequent or other item that gives additional and large bonuses to a pet if it’s the only one you have active. And maybe multiplies the pet bonuses it receives. It would be nice to have a single pet build be an option (I don’t think it is anywhere), and it would be good for hybrid play.
