Upgrades now available!

thank u very much see u soon

I pledged $32 for the two pack during the kickstarter. Is it possible to upgrade only one of my keys to get early access?

I’d like to keep my second key as a gift for when the game launches, but I would like to play my own copy of the game now. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yes, you should be able to upgrade just one of your keys and pay the difference. For assistance contact: [email protected]

If I were to upgrade from the 45 dollar Kickstarter backing to 50 dollar Patron, would that mean I’d lose out on getting the first expansion free after the games release?

Excellent - medierra previously clarified your scenario. Well, sort of - not sure if you can upgrade from “Early Access + Expansion” to the Patron Edition.

Beta key holder have access by now. I assume you want the “Crate Story” and the “Massively stylish George Washington style powdered wig”. Are they $15 worth to you?

Hmm… I’ll have to see if I have the money for it first. Probably not right now, but thank you for your help. I do want to support Crate since Grim Dawn is spectacular thus far.

Any idea on the turn around for upgrade requests? I emailed a couple of days ago and didn’t get a response yet. I want to play this game. It would be an easier wait if there was a concrete date for beta or release, but I’m sure you guys will be more than happy to take more of my money, as I’m more than happy to give it to you.

Not sure how long it takes for the Humble Store team to get back to you. The current estimate to give access to all KS backers and pre-order customers is in about two months.

Ok, so a friend of mine bought two epic packages and gave me the key to one. How do I go about upgrading that? I have the key for it.

Great - I am correct that your key was purchased with your friend’s email address?

Is it really an old Epic Fan edition key (sold for $32) or is it a Pioneer editon key (sold for $35)? If the latter, was it purchased before April 4th, 2013?

Edition and purchase date might be redundant though. But I think your email address needs to be linked to the key before you can upgrade. For this your friend might need to email to [email protected] on your behalf - they support old and recent purchases equally. After that you can follow the upgrade instructions from the OP.

I stored the pm he sent me over on the Runic forums. Date sent was April 16th, 2012. This was the epic fan fan edition, I don’t think it was the kickstarter edition (the post announcing the GD kickstarter is what reminded him he’d bought me a copy).

I’ll pass along the word, thank you very much for the info!

If you have any trouble, PM me and I’ll help you out

It’s just been awhile since we talked last, so it’s just a matter of getting in touch with them. I never got a reply when I messaged them on Steam.

I have the key for the game, but that doesn’t really do me any good, since humble does things via email.

Hi, everybody! First of all - great game!
I’ve bought the game via steam early access, and now i’m wondering, if it is possible to upgrade to loyalist pack?

Hi Boozer

… and welcome to the forums

Actually there is a difference between the Steam Early Access version and the Loyalist version and that would be the extras that come with the Loyalist.

The Steam Early Access version is just the game and being able to play during development.

“Currently” as in right now rather then encompassing the whole of what you get for each different package.

So right now the Steam Early Access and Loyalist Package give you the same thing: early access. It is only later when the game is released that there is a difference.

My real concern is people won’t read the “Currently”, and read that both options are equal. That’s the way I read it initially. So just wanted it to be explicitly said.

Edit: Here’s a link to a related post Ribbons and Components which has that info - Soul Shard being one.

Are upgrades still available/possible? Also what if I already redeemed the key to play the early access on Steam? (Note: I bought on Kickstarter and just want to upgrade to Loyalist Edition)

@Evolta - yes you can still upgrade.
