[V1.0.0.5] Panetti's Sorcerer

Ive been levelling this character, and having a lot of fun with OFF. However, I’ve hit L40 (the end of Veteran) and it’s not working so well any more.

I then tried to respec to PRM, but the clear speed is way down, and it’s a major hassle clearing levels. Can you give me a bit more information on what damage types to be stacking, and how best to manage the respec away from OFF?

Hi !
First, thank for the guide

I have a question, as a noob in this game : why dont you spend more point in Spirit attribute to have more dmg/regen ?

The dmg increase from putting points in spirit is quite underwhelming. And you’ll deal tons of damage anyways… When you get to ultimate survivability will be your biggest concern and the HP and DA from physique helps a lot with this

How many points do you have in prm and it’s modifiers? I think it should be pretty good at the end of veteran if you have significant points into it

I pumped some more points into PRM and now it’s working much better.

That said what damage type am I looking to stack? Am I after Elemental Damage here, or fire or aether?

PMR does elemental damage, which is a 1/3 split between cold, lightning, and fire. The last augment adds aether. So you’ll want +elemental primarily then aether secondarily.

More important is reducing enemy reductions with this sort of thing. Get the serpent devotion. I’m tempted to try out manticore because the ability reduces all reductions pretty heavily. Likewise, you can get curse of frailty in occultist and the augment reduces elemental resistance pretty heavily.

This build focuses on Fire/Aether, with Cold converted to Fire, so pretty much just focus on those two. Your Cold/Lightning damage are negligible as we use Reckless Power and not Star Pact. Your end game Aether damage will win out, so if you get used to pumping that up, you wont go wrong.

Great, that’s exactly what I wanted to know. Much appreciated.

Hello. I would like to know if you could switch PRM to AAR. Would it also be a viable option, or is AAR too much energy hungry? The build already focuses on Fire/Aether damage so the main changes I see would be more energy consumption and less AOE. Also you maybe would have a few more skillpoints left.

Note: I did not play an AAR character before so I am not familiar with that skill.

You’ll need 200 mana/second or more and -40% energy cost or more to be able to use an AAR build without energy problems.

Greetings

I use manticore bound to prm with widow as well, works quite well. I use black star of a deceit so bit of a waste, but I was originally melee man mode and wanted to play a ranged style and it works very well for that

I like pure caster setups (all ranged no melee), do you think substituting the riftstone for the aether tendrils skill would work? I know it cuts down on mobility, but I’m kinda old school.

Think of Chaos Strike as a Blink.
It really is invaluable as a skill to both get in, and he tout of bad situations. I personally wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Hi, quick questions.

  1. I already put one point in the Elemental Balance, but how come there is no icon can be assigned to the keyboard?
  2. What’s the buff/debuff icon with “pink square with a black man inside”

anyone, please help. Sorry, I am still newbie to GD. Thanks in advance.

  1. Elemental Balance is a modifier to Iskandra’s Elemental Exchange so it’s turned on whenever IEE is on.

  2. The icon belongs to the void ward aura granted by the weapon component “imbued silver” and basically grants you chaos resistance.

  3. No problem, feel free to ask whatever you want

Thanks very much.

do Aldanar’s refresh Blast Shield?

there’s a “buff” appear when Blast Shield is on CD

I notice that it’s the Blast Shield’s cooldown

but I never seen it reduced by Aldanar’s

Arcane Harmony Leggings are better (and for a lot of builds) because it gives a percentage (random given the drop) increase to ALL damage. Or maybe you just got higher percentages on your particular gear, assuming you have the arcane harmony leggings.

Not really. This simply means you get an additional +x% to all damage types, which is additive with all other %fire, %aether etc. So it’s not really a big damage boost because it’s a very small value.
The pants are still good but that’s mostly because of the other stats on these pants, the resistances and DA. For this build I would definitely prefer the Wraithborne Legwraps, flat health and Bleed resist are hard to get as a Caster.

After looking at it again, I think you are right. The OA increase on the Wraithborne Legwraps is very good too.
