[v1.0.0.8] DEE Witchblade, Dreeg Dreadnaught the Slightly Crucible God

I know is random but any better place to go for farming the dreeg set??

Hive runs can help with that since it has several heroes in those, so more chance to drop good stuff. Cronley runs are also good but beware when you unlock Fabius, he can be a pain in the ass.

Finally got to equip Dreeg set and it’s honestly a blast. Solid damage and quite tanky.

great build, im planning on doing this for my second char. may i just ask if you cap your poison and acid res via the blood of dreeg buff or through your gear, augments and components?

Without Blood of Dreeg you will be capped (Dreeg Shroud give stupid amount of poison resistance) with Blood of Dreeg you will go over 100% easily. Not a single augment and component that are giving Poison Resist simply the gear itself overcap it super easily.

Dreeg’s Affliction relic alone can give around 50% poison resist. I have around 20% over the cap and i have no augments or components giving poison resist.

thanks for the reply guys, just started making a character for this build and i just thought that if i had to rely on the blood of dreeg buff to max my poison res i would end up dead in situations where i wasnt able to reapply it immediately.
another question, with regards to the devotions would you say raven is a better alternative to the candle?

What do you do with the extra 90 points in the grimcalc? Also as a new player is this something I can play fresh as self-found?

Put as much points in Cunning and Spirit and then dump everything else in Physique. In my case i went Spirit - 19, Cunning - 0 and the rest in Physique, but you can change this to your liking.

This probably one of the most new player friendly builds right now. So yes, you can play it self found easily.

You might want to play a bit more caster oriented until you get Shieldbreaker as this seems to be the only shield really worth it.
Also you will want to move the point from the shield skill towards the passive in soldier for free resist if you are lacking gear.

I personally started my first char as an Occultist. Level 50 picked Soldier for the resist and leveled up to 85 as a Caster using an Off-Hand. Once I got my hand on a full Dreeg Set I found someone to help me craft Siegebreaker as at the time I didn’t have the Blueprint and moved my skill around to the more defensive setup. With the move from my regular gear to Shroud Set I didn’t lose a lot of damage cause of the extra Shroud is giving but my survivability just skyrocketed massively.

hi,
Is Siegebreaker only a craftable item or we can get it by drop? also where did you craft it?

just wanted to share this with regards to the devotions, you can take out the points from jakal and reverant and place them into viper instead giving you a slightly weaker form of energy absorb but also 3% more offensive ability. you can then switch the points from eel to lizard for more HP and health regen and this allows you to free up that single blue point in the crossroads. you can now place that single point in whatever you want or switch from scholars light into raven.

Since questions about alternative devo route are coming back quite often i guess i will update the Q&A section.

Derp, didnt realize the 90 pts were stat points not skill points. Ive been leveling following the general guidelines of skill progression and after farming for Mark of Dreeg for like 2 hours last night I am really digging this build!

Is it possible to get some kind of spammable melee attack into this build? This build seems pretty nice regarding tankiness and AoE capability, so quite what I’m looking for. But I also like to whack the enemies while throwing spells around.

Does this build make use of Abominable Might? I don’t see it mentioned anywhere in the guide but I do notice that it is taken in the Devotion tree. Does it need to be bound to anything or is it just passive?

It needs to be bound to an attacking skill and Abominable Might does nothing for this build. This build is about applying poison dots, Abominable Might is focused on Chaos damage and this build barely uses Chaos damage.

It isn’t taken in the guide though.

How necessary is Siegebreaker to this build?

I am too lazy to add another skill button and had a bit of a hard time capping my resistance. Instead I went for Vanguard of the Legion which gives nice Aether/Chaos resist, tons of bonus health and +1 skill for Soldier.

I then bind Acid Spray to shield bash instead.

Siegebreaker is BiS imo, mostly because of the physical res, tho vanguard is kinda good aswell.

Btw did you checked the second grimtool setup without highend green ?

does solael’s witchfire do anything at all for our attacks like DEE, seeing as majority of our attacks are poison and acid based?
