For those trying to decide on leveling i recommend savagery or primal strike to lvl 14, then respec to storm totem and grab yourself a Groble Sky Effigy four storm totems with ~1.7 sec cd shreds everything damn fast. Five with a Udenbog Stormstrife
good idea, kind of the basis of the build in a way
i generally lvl with PS
update added kupacabra vid
I thought zolhans/upheaval is just a passive one hit attack?
I mean how and why they apply electrocute DOT?
Huh? Read the set bonuses, devotions, ultimate skill etc.
I did and I still don’t get it.
I can see some devotion and skill apply electrocute damage, but zolhans/upheaval is just a high% phy damage which can convert into lightning damage, how can they apply bigger electrocute DOT?
Anything that deals weapon damage will also add any flat damage you get from other sources, like equipment, auras and devotions.
yeah but higher % damage will increase these flat damage?
I mean I thought these electrocute DOT will do same damage if I just use a normal attack. zolhans/upheaval will do more flat DOT damage?
No, they work the same as any other flat damage when combined with a % weapon damage skill. In this case the combo of either Zolhan/Upheaval + Savagery and Might of the Bear will combine together to ensure you are getting somewhere near 300% weapon damage applying the heavy electrocute dot. Looking at his base weapon damage he already has near 11,000 per sec at 100% weapon damage so amp that to 33,000 on those hits. Savagery adds another ~6,000 from the flat electrocute in the skill, amp’d by the zolhan/upheaval proc to around 10,000, so call it 45,000 electrocute now. But that is the damage before a crit/resistance shred. With his crit damage you are looking at over 100,000 electrocute a sec, with the resistance shred in the build that will easily be amplified to over 200,000/sec and then you factor in the electrocute dot of the procs stacking with this.
Sometimes the mechanics of such things elude me but this seems fairly straight forward.
thx I still a little confuse
you said they work the same as any other flat damage when combined with a % weapon damage skill.
so savagery’s flat electrocute, which come from the skill “storm touch”,can amp’d by the zolhan/upheaval
wow I thought electrocute is another source of damage but they count like flat damage in this case
the mythical stormreaver has 1188 electrocute damage over 3 sec
thats actually really op since its a huge number if count as a flat damage
What does “Size=1” mean? On the keybinding part
That’s just to adjust the font size of the forums post, the fact that you can see it means the code isn’t working because there’s a mistake in it/it’s incomplete.
This is what size=1 looks like
With regard to switching to Savagery: Do it whenever you’re comfortable with it, from an effectiveness POV, do it when you have gear to maintain/outperform the PS clearspeed, or when it feels like your PS isn’t cutting it against tougher single targets anymore.
Levelling as totem caster is probably the fastest and safest, but also most gear-dependant option, but it should never be too difficult or time-consuming, so worrying too much about the most effective levelling approach is likely to be more time-consuming than (slightly) suboptimal levelling.
thats actually really op since its a huge number count as a flat damage
So, I attempted to make a dual wield variation of your build and was curious of what you thought of it. I’d be quite happy to hear your thoughts, or suggestions to make it better.

GrimTool (Savagery Version): http://www.grimtools.com/calc/O2GWn6k2
so when do i switch to jajaja’s build currently lvl 58.
who drops this alexander’s pants of vitality??
Anyone have a link to the base skill point investment? It’s hard to calculate since the grim calc link has gear skill points added in
Aleksander probably.
If you removed all the gear in that grimtools link, probably get what you want:

Press ctrl+shift.
Oh damn didn’t know about that lol.
Would you use the same devotion build on an Elementalist?
