[v1.0.2.1] Electrocute Warder(?) - A Shockingly Versatile Build

I’m guessing that I am not gonna get any suggestions or thoughts on these two builds? :S

Nice, though your low health does make me a little concerned. Have you tested it to see if your skills + health regen keeps you up?

on DW savagery - i have tried something like this briefly in vanilla, the dps wasn’t very good at the time

light’s defender buffs alot of storm totem, one of the reasons for combining it with stormreaver, i don’t feel that DW savagery is particularly strong, i think the dot ticks will be much weaker and u cant get feralhunger/zolhan/upheaval/might of the bear - all of which are pretty essential to the power of savagery, the only proc u’d have is direwolf/markovian which are rather low %.

on DW cadence - the main point of cadence has always been buffing other attacks with deadly momentum, when u take elemental converison on cadence, only 1/3 of the phys goes into lightning AFAIK, you are better off not taking it and use base conversion on weapon, stormcaller pact+components, which would give more lightning overall?

in conclusion, i’d say that DW lightning is better done with a trickster or stormheart saboteur. imo. while you may be able to achieve high paper dps as a warder but without powerful procs to multiply the dmg, it won’t be the same. a prime example is belgothian, which have extremely powerful procs that even with a mere 100k dps it can destroy single targets very quickly. without nightblade procs, you will likely have to have at least 250k+ paper dps to be on par with a 100k dps belgothian.

but if you end up having great success with it i’d be interested in seeing some footage

I am capable of getting Zohan, but differing from your build, I was unable to get Menhir’s Wil (disappointingly). Would you say that savagery has the better potential of out-doing Cadence?

As for cadence, it says it converts 100% of your physical damage as elemental damage, but only 1/3rd of it turns into lightning? I’m guessing its 33% fire, 33% cold, 33% lightning?

yes thats correct on cadence conversion.

also AFAIK zolhan only uses one hand, so its kinda bad for DW.
savagery is probably better than cadence

yep zolhan only uses 1 hand FYI

Lightning God asks why dont we smack reflect mobs is due to the awesome power we wield

Did level as storm totem, veteran and elite went easy as eating a good pie.
coffee from twin peaks and a tad of voyager mulgrew blend.
all lightning and it was fun doing that, safe and HC doable without doubt.
transformed to a truck at L65 or so and been riding the wave ever since then as one cant get a point break that easily…

What about Markovian’s Advantage?

markovian hits with both hands

Hi Jajaja

I loved your Tri-saboteur build. It was easy to follow and a very good choice for any new player to use, as gear requirements were very low.

2 Questions:
a. Is this build just as strong for a new player to pick up and level up, using the gear he gets along the way, obviously not reaching the high end numbers on damage etc without the BIS items
b. Is that leveling guide coming soon ? Ive been leveling up a Shaman only, waiting for the feedback on if to use Soldier our Demolitionist as the 2nd option.

Once again thank you for giving your time and valued input - the community looks up to you.

Regards
Gogga

Nice build looking forward to trying it out. Any tips on gear if you don’t have BiS?

On the Reddit Grim Dawn forum Zantai posted about some weapons not scaling correctly. He said this in reference to the Bleed damage on the Mythical Guillotine. Looking at the Mythical Stormreaver its quite possible that the electrocute damage is also affected by the same bug.

Its a pretty massive boost in Electrocute damage: 195 to 1188 from a level 75 to 94 jump.

The base damage does drop though so maybe there is a tradeoff.

Welcome back JaJaJa,

With your Tri-E Sabouter I get the idea of nice leveling and how to make viable char. Now he is my first 100 level.nice to see you again,

Waiting for leveling guide,take care;)

…lol, jesus I hope not. I spent the first 7 to 10 days after AoM was released leveling up a blademaster to play the Belgothian build only to find out after putting ~30 hours into the character that they were nerfing Seal of Blades procing devotions, which mostly killed the build.

So I’ve been playing this build for the last 7 to 10 days and have about 25 hours into the character at this point. If they nerf this build as bad as they nerfed the last build i’m going to die laughing.

At least I’ve got spellbreaker I can fall back on.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Looks like a nice build, gotta try it out when the lvling guide is up :stuck_out_tongue:

Finally got done respeccing my bleed warder over to this to give it a “try”. Don’t know if I’m just in love with the new spec smell but that’s the easiest ride up to 100 so far. Don’t know if my conjurer is getting his light defender set back any time soon. lol

Beast build, jajaja.

Being the renegade that I am I went the Elementalist route (already have a Warder).

Just feel Soldier in this case is very replaceable. Since you are not using a shield or physical damage don’t feel like you get much out of it.
