Hey I’m enjoying it!
i think soldier is there for the dot from zolhan’s technique, blitz and resists from scars of battle other than replaceable.
Me being a noob in Shaman, wondering about Feral Hunger. The adcth from this passive skill, does it affect just the dmg from this skill alone, or also from the base auto attack that proc it?
I guessed as much but I personally would want a little more out of my second mastery.
Demo gives Flashbang, Vindictive Flame, Flame Touched, Blast Shield and Thermite Mines.
If you wanted to go more defensive I feel Arcanist would be better then soldier. More OA, same CC resists, damage absorb and a better circuit breaker.
Hi jajaja I am a newbie and still waiting for that leveling guide XD
I want to start from the scratch… how should I be leveling up this build??
Hi I was wondering which build are you using for your spellbreaker???
I am no expert in Shaman, this is only my 2nd builds with Shaman in it. But from my own exp, using Devouring Swarm early on is fantastic. Max it out. Works wonder against all mobs. But it’s not so great against bosses. Invest some points along the Primal Strike lines for nuking boss.
For devotion, rush Kraken asap. Make sure to pick up some good 2-handers along the way. If you are feeling squishy, grab Ghouls. If you are feeling tanky enough, aim for Rwowan’s crown after Kraken.
When you manage to get Storm totem, switch to it and rush Stormcallers Pact. At this point, reinvest all your points from Devouring Swarm into the Totems and the Pact. You can also switch from Primal Strike to Savagery too.
I don’t have any suggestions on the actual levels to do all this since it’s all according to my own feelings, but hey, exploring is the fun in itself
Nothing special. I stayed NB through normal mode. Maxed ABB, SS/NightFall, execute, and Nights Chill. PB has some points, 1 in blade barrier. Picked up the cold constellations. Get as much conversion to cold as you can.
Pick up arcanist in Elite and get the standard stuff there.
First off: yes, I see your point. Do some research and find replacements for your old items.
However let me be a bit more clear on my question:
Assumption 1: the “Beginner’s Physical Warder Build - 100% Craftable+Vendor Gear” is (as the title says) fully craftable or can be bought from faction vendors.
Assumption 2: with the increased level cap the health/damage/OA/DA and maybe other stats of enemies are higher.
With the increased level cap I will get 18 skills points (roughly), 15 attribute points and 5 devotion points - which I assume is not enough to scale myself up to the higher level enemies than before so that I can be effective in the same way as before. Hence I will need to find new items to increase my stats to a satisfactory level.
Well yes, this brings back your point: look in the item database.
And I did do that at east for some slots.
And I could not find direct replacements for some of the items which would satisfy assumption 1. Some armor could be substituted with the ones from the new factions, however they did not seem as direct 1:1 replacements to me. I felt that I would be sacrificing something for not as much gain.
And as another example: the Levianthan - i.e: the most import part of “I hit you with my weapon” item for damage output. According to Grim Tools the mythical version is not craftable. The closest “affordable” physical damage 2H weapon with +soldier skills I see is Shar’Zul’s Worldeater just because you can directly farm.
So let me rephrase the question a bit: if I want to have a “beginner friendly Physical Warder Build that is 100% Craftable and/or with Vendor Gear” even with the the expansion - is ti still possible?
Yes, I do believe you can have a 2H physical warder out of legendaries - but I am asking specifically for a “not hard to get items for” build.
For the record: a 2H physical Warder is my first character (currently around level 96). And I would like for him to be good. But he does not feel as good on Ultimate as I would like him to be. So maybe I am just bitter about all these other awesome builds - I apologize for that.
“Craftable” is rather misleading if it requires the recipe to drop to begin with when it comes to new players and reliably obtainable gear.
Why is Aleksander’s pants BiS? the +skills on it don’t give anything you use. Those Solael-Sect seem way better, not to mention Aleksander’s would seem hard to find.
Aleksander’s pants have massive armor + hp just as base item, with good prefix and suffix rolls it becomes bis
Oh I see. I missed the armor on the pants, wow that’s a lot.
Yes, I agree that that is counter-intuitive. However the thing is that you do not have to craft it on your own - its almost certain that someone here can already craft that item so you could just get the materials and ask them craft it for you.
As jajaja said in the Warder post:
Honestly recipes are simply a matter of time. It seems recipe drops don’t repeat so you will get them all eventually.
Compared to the double rare MI items that a number of builds seem to have I would much rather wait for a recipe drop.
FYI: Pretty sure recipes repeat.
I agree with the double MI thing. It’s beyond endgame. Nothing wrong with it but I always appreciate seeing a build that at least includes a gearing option without them.
Must just be lucky then.
For MIs I also think its a little misleading for newbies. They see this grimtools build with these green items and think “I can gear this easy!” only to find out later that those full purple builds are actually easier to make.
My lightning Elementalist has already had 3 regular Stormreaver drops, a few lights defender and a mythic defender helm plan and has only finished act 1 ultimate. Sure luck is involved but I reckon my case happens more often then the dream double rare MI item.
Recipes kinda do, kinda don’t. When you roll a recipe drop it’ll try to give you a random recipe, if you already have one it’ll pull a different random recipe. If you already have that 2nd one then no recipe for you. (or I’ve heard it’ll still drop but isn’t visible? Something like that)
Is this build similar to the Ultos, the Storm Striker 2H Warder?
I played this about a year ago (found on Build Compendium IV) and I really enjoyed it through Ultimate.
Looking to re-roll with the expansion… but that one looks a little out of date.
Are the item skills storm tap and storm shard not worth using?
