The purpose was to make a build with as much OA as possible, with a skill that benefits and still keep a somewhat sane build. Obviously it turned out a bit glassy, but that’s sort of ok. What really annoys me though is that energy regen is a big issue. It results in potion addiction and coffee/tea breaks in between bosses.
I’ve taken a look at others: aether here/build and cold here/build.
They seem to have similar energy regen. The aether version has a bunch of energy absorption which probably helps, but the cold version has much less (still more than me). Is that what makes the difference? Did I miss anything?
My build:
I’m also a bit sad that most of my single target damage seems to come from the skellies, but it’ll hopefully be better with the next patch.
The cold version went for Harp in the devotions. In a similar way, you could go for Scales, you already have the yellow affinity, however that would replace the skellies
Here is my devotion path for acid purge acid/vitality radagan may be will help, as i remember its ok with mana.
Btw why you are using HoS over possesion? you will have enough lifesteal from DE and sigils. These builds using DE and Sigils need to be tanky so you can just stay and stack sigils, cast DE.
Casting speed mainly. If I can find casting speed somewhere else I think possession will be better with the absorb.
Had a look. Not too different actually. I see you also have 160% cast speed, that probably helps
It might be worth it to check if it plays better going with possession, but I’m afraid the low cast speed will hurt too much.
Yeah I thought about that, but the skellies actually do quite a bit of damage, so I was hesitant to try it out. Maybe…
Something like this Cabalist, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.2) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
(Also switched to possession there, to see what it looks like.)
I’m going to try out the devotion change is. It ends up with ~190 energy regen as a base. It does lose 5% cast speed, but probably not too bad and as a bonus I can take turtle for extra armor.
Edit:
Cool, I think scales saves it. I can still run out, but rarely and damage is not much less I think with rattosh on DE.
I think after the patch it’s actually decent now. Didn’t have any energy issues running SR30-31. Died due to my own clumsiness and still finished with 2 minutes left on the clock.
I swear it has much more sheet damage now than it did before but I’m probably misremembering. I thought it was like 200k something and now it’s 300k something, but I doubt it got boosted 50%
