Is it working? I think I just got half the internet pregnant.

Hundreds of thousands of women around the world are swooning at the sight!
Luckily I was a bit too young to be affected. David Cassidy and Davy Jones were more likely to make that happen.
Nah, you can keep him.
Sadly, both mine have passed away.
Davy Jones was great - I really love The Monkees. Of course, I caught them on Nick at Night, not on the airwaves…

I grew up with the terrible muscle-bound action heroes - Arnie, Sly, Dolph. Were they supposed to be sex symbols as well? I’m not sure, my barometer for that has always been waaaaaaaaaaay off.
Probably for some.
Thanks for posting that Drokalypso, never heard that one before.
One I always liked from one of their albums was “Zor and Zam”. I really wish more countries would do as that song suggests.
Here are the lyrics:
The king of Zor, he called for war
And the king of Zam, he answered.
They fashioned their weapons one upon one
Ton upon ton, they called for war at the rise of the sun.
Out went the call to one and to all
That echoed and rolled like the thunder.
Trumpets and drums, roar upon roar
More upon more.
Rolling the call of “Come now to war.”
Throughout the night they fashioned their might
With right on the side of the mighty.
They puzzled their minds plan upon plan
Man upon man
And at dying of dawn the great war began.
They met on the battlefield banner in hand.
They looked out across the vacant land.
And they counted the missing, one upon one,
None upon none.
The war it was over before it begun.
Two little kings playing a game.
They gave a war and nobody came.
And nobody came.
And nobody came.
And nobody came.
And nobody came.
Sounds like a Mike song
Nope, not written or sung by him. Micky Dolenz does the vocal but the song was written by Bill and John Chadwick. It’s from “The BIrds, The Bees and The Monkees” album.
Derail
You got me beat. I was only 18 months old at the time.
As you can see from my name, I was born in 1959. Will be 59 in September. Our 1st game machine was pong.
Come on, we also had Michael J. Fox as a role model.
I was asked once for ID when buying alcohol…and most people get quiet when I tell them “I look how I look, because I’m not married yet”
And all those ‘brat pack’ idiots…
I still remembered the day when standard oil got dissolved…:p:p:p
How many of these do y’all remember?
Me - all of them.
And you’re never too old to enjoy playing video games.
Also Grey Gunners - https://www.dbltap.com/posts/6069713-grey-gunners-and-silver-snipers-represent-lenovo-s-desire-to-diversify-gaming
They’re a marketing campaign from Lenovo. Behind the scenes, I don’t think they give two shits about CSGO as they never played it and had to learn fundamentals from some people that play it. I know streamers that are almost this old but are genuine and enjoy it without some company telling them to. But like always, money talks, bullshit walks. If they really enjoy this, and do this behind cameras, kudos to them.
Indeed Mindray. If they enjoy it then kudos to them. And yes, kudos to Lenovo as well for trying to expand the player base. Okay it probably benefits them, but hopefully it will change the perception of video games only being for the young.
Yeah, give me twitch channel with senior gamers anyday that enjoy playing some competetive games, will always watch it. Less drama and keyboards breaking in half…but if they do that, it’s double points for still being gamers at heart Old habits die hard.
