testing a high block build i just stood in front of janaxia and none of her attacks triggered any on-block procs leaving me to believe none of her attacks/spells can even be blocked? that includes her projectile nova and her projectile burst spell. so maybe against casters block is really useless? has this been tested vs specific enemies or casters in particular?
projectiles can be blocked
you can’t block AoEs (siphon souls/judgment) and debuffs (cof etc)
as i recall the rule basically is , if it can be dodged or deflected it can be blocked
and from ceno re projectels with aoe (eg trozan/meteors)

without high block chance and high recovery, and low DA to ensure they actually pass a hit check to begin with, it’s easy to not trigger block procs since they don’t have 100% chance either
misread at first. i’ll test some more but her projectile nova should always have hit when i’m just standing there twiddling my thumbs. i have 5 offensive on-block procs, 80% block chance with 70% recovery and 1.5s downtime on overguard and i didn’t see a single one so…
according to GT it has passthrough, i don’t know if that changes the defence interaction or not
i tested with 100% block chance, recovery and proc trigger, her passtrhough projectiles doesnt’ trigger block
and normal bullets def get blocked
doesn’t look like there is much consistency to it
Ascended myrmidons lightning projectile nova (also has passthrough) does get blocked - but their stun jacks does not
also janaxias projectile burst with 4 projectiles seemingly can’t be blocked (2nd test run). and thx for testing as well. i’ll try and pay closer attention going forward with said block build.

sad face, the weird inconsistency might even make one consider it being “bugged”, but i’m sure it’s totally normal and just some internal “not all projectiles are created equal” jank as by usual GD

you mean you can break projectiles with other projectiles? if so that’s normal/intended
aha didnt know i can hit other projectiles what about loghorreans summon void i think it is launchin dee on it it acts like monster is hitted
i don’t know, default assumption is vortex and “pool” pets can’t be attacked, but i’m unsure if they can/will be targeted by things still
In theory it shouldn’t matter what launched a projectile, just whether the projectile itself is breakable then you/enemy can break eachother’s orbs/balls/bullets

if you’re using focused gaze you can’t be too sure what the projectile actually hit, it seems to have a huge hitbox (screenshot right at impact when the fragments spawn, you tell me which dummy was hit):
i use full dee line maxed but still hittng vortex is counting like hit,
