What does the FX swap mean

Continuing the discussion from Grim Dawn V1.2.1.3 Playtest Changelog:

Sorry I cannot understand this. Any example?

One friend of mine just told me that it may means the skill’s color change. Is that right?

Yes, sometimes is just color, sometimes it can be some deeper twist.

even tho it’s not mentioned as there is no conversion on CT transmuter Wrath of Agrivix it had a tied in aether FX on it, which meant if you used ex Cold or Lightning Callidor medal, you would still get green FX if you had the transmuter
now the FX is moved so you can take transmuter without green colour override on non aether Callidor builds

ok, thanks dude

thanks. it’s true there’s something wrong with its color.
I just didn’t understand what’s FX swap’s meaning in Chinese. wiki told me that it’s Foreign Exchange Swap😵‍💫

Yeah some English abbreviations make no sense, FX being the most common one.
It can indeed stand for Foreign Exchange. Here it stands for Effects
And there’s a whole bunch of other similar things which nonsensically have the abbreviation FX: FX - What does FX stand for? The Free Dictionary (not sure how reliable this is)
The only one that makes sense to me there is Fuji Xerox
