Hi i was wondering what are all these games called die farm in crudible mode? how does that work?
It’s a bunch of players who are just dying repetitively to get the xp for completing waves. They do this because they can’t be arsed to figure out an optimal path to rush the campaign to get levels. After doing this of course you’re at level 100 with no reputation, inventory bags or bonus skill points so you have to go through the campaign anyways :rolleyes:
It’s something people who don’t understand how to use an editor to create a level 100 character do.
With the new 100% xp potions and tons of gear about that gives +% xp you can beeline quests in campaign and end up OVERLEVELING on your way up towards ultimate.
IKR… doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me either. Ask 'em why they are doing it and their response will be, “To level up faster and I can go afk.”
Oh yeah? Or, ya know, you could just fire up an editor and create that max level character in like a minute. How’s that for faster? :rolleyes:
But if I do that then my character won’t be legit*!

leveling up in crucible especially using the dying mechanic and afk exploit is no different from using an editor. in fact i have more respect for the person that uses the editor, as he’s actually being real…
cuz starting of your campaign at lvl 50 or higher with devotion points by skipping various difficulty spikes in the game, is so legit… :rolleyes:
i don’t hate the process, i just don’t like the lying undertone and thinking behind using this exploit.
If you are willing to log a toon in to a Crucible match and then walk away and let someone else do all the dirty work for you, well then, I’d say your legitimacy is up for aggressive debate. 
They claim they are doing it to “save time”. That’s just plain stupidity and ignorance. Use an editor and save all “the times” instead. Logic has fled our school systems, this much I know.
I think this debate starts to go into route of “what is cheating or what is not?” etc. Some thinks that if they do not use any tool/trainer, it is not cheating thus benefitting everything game offers intentional or not. But i agree that afk/other type of non-labored farming is same with cheating.

People use this line of thinking to make themselves feel better about using an exploit. This has been going on since video games were invented and people will always try to justify using exploits and glitches to get ahead by saying that it’s truly not cheating because they aren’t using a third-party program.
It’s a gray area. Most people here will say it’s cheating, others will say different. The only thing that matters is that it doesn’t matter one bit how someone else levels their character due to the fact this is mostly a single player game. Personally I find it silly to spend hours upon hours dying in Crucible to reach a high level then run through the game anyways, but to each their own. Let them waste their time if they want.
I don’t really care about the cheating aspect of it, since it’s a mostly single player game. However, what bothers me is the fact that players aren’t using mods or trainers but exploiting the game itself. It makes it very difficult for the weak-willed to withstand, especially after a new expansion with new loot to find.
The reason this bothers me is simply the fact that once a large chunk of players discover this, they’re tied up in those games instead of good, clean slaughter games with ol’ Rylocke.
I suppose my complaint boils down to this: I want more actual Crucible multiplayer games, and I’d love to see Crate fix this exploit to that end.

Die Farming in HC requires an editor too I guess.
There are people who use Die Farming all the time, then complain about cheating in a single player game.

Sorry, I only play mp with friends, but why not just boot die farmers out of your servers? The abuse won’t work if die farmers only had to play with other die farmers, you know?
