What kind of music are you listening to?

Hey guys,

Just curious, what music are you listening to? Right now or just your favourite one(s) in general. =)

For me, it is all kind of music with good lyrics, but the most favourite are probably:

I know there is one thread about it already, but I did not want to necro that oldy. =)

Cheers!

If you haven’t seen this, check it out:

Sulic & Hauser playing GunsNRoses

Right now I am really digging on the Soho Dolls, Devil Doll and The Dresden Dolls.

Yes I know, I am spending way too much playing with dolls.

:undecided:

The connection was entirely on accident.

In the last weeks mainly Foo Fighters, Two Door Cinema Club, Empire of the Sun, Muse and my all time favorites Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Oh man, that’s so awesome!

For a little while, I forgot just how good Iron Maiden sound, but that has been rectified recently at home. Great to rock out to.

In my car at the moment I have a band by the name of Cog pretty much dominating the CD stacker.

Yeah, Iron Maiden is awesome. Went to a concert of them recently, good stuff. My favourites of that band are Paschendale and Dance of Death. Though everything they play is golden…

Another favourite band of mine is Nightwish pre-Anette Olzon era.

Oh…this is simply amazing. I love the sound of cellos soooooooooo much!!!

My favourite was always Fear of the Dark. =)

Anyone likes Nirvana? I grew up on it. I started listening to this band when I was 5, my sister was listening to it during her puberty and I just fell in love she says (I can’t really recall that, it’s been a while), hehe. =) Sick mind of Kurt’s, but I like him. =) Ah…the good old times… =)

Heck yeah yerkyerk. I’m drifting back to most of their older stuff. How can I not like Where Eagles Dare though watching that video reminds me of just how old they are…

And i.n.s.a.n.e I grew up listening to Nirvana. First album I ever owned was Nevermind in fact. However, I think I’ve grown out of the grunge style these days. In fact, looking at my music collection now, there really are a lot of albums which I just don’t listen to anymore, despite once being favourites as a much younger lad growing up. One thing is for sure, I won’t be caught dead listening to Justin Bieber :stuck_out_tongue:

My too, haha. =)

Yeah, my music taste has changed a lot since my youth (not that I would be old or something, heh) too, but I was always into harder(?) music, I think the Nirvana put basics for it. =)

Justin Bieber comment, lol…dunno who the guy is (I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW, NO LINKS PLZ! FOR EVERYONE’S SAKE!!!), but it sounds like he “plays” (can be hardly said about today’s music) something for teenagers, right? =)

It is really sad how the music “art” is going down nowadays, am I the only one who thinks that? Really terrible…and not just some teenage-styles for completely brain(ear)dead audience (no offense anyone, but I am not fond Lady Gaga and such), even the hardcore and similar styles…everything is so poseurish and soaked in commerce, it is not even funny… =(

For you Nirvana fans:

(Yikes. If you love Nirvana and HATE Tori Amos, you might not want to see the link above)

Just for you jiaco

The Final Spirit Mashup

Edit: Also, listening to that vid reminds me of recently when the radio station playing at work would have around 5:30 in the afternoon play The Final Countdown, every single day.

So I am guessing this Europe thing is a band? Anyway, I am sorry if you hate Tori Amos as much as I hate Europe, I can see you my link was intolerable.

Again, I apologize.

Rammstein WEEEeeeee…
asorted techno
Infected mushrooms.
trance
Goa
asorted heavy metal

robie williams
quean
depeach mode
ALOT in fact he he he he

No, not at all, and apology not needed. The Tori Amos thing was quite different in fact. Not what I would have expected to come from her. I actually find the mashup of The Final Countdown and Smells Like Teen Spirit to be pretty good in fact, which is why I linked it.

Iron and Wine, absolutely amazing guy:

Fleet Foxes:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m33jJRZhtl8

Check out all these guys, nothing heavy metal but there all amazing.

Adding to the cello theme, it seems only right to tag Apocolyptica into the mix.

Who could hate Tori? :frowning:

Her cover was the first time I have EVER heard all of the lyrics to Teen Spirit, a feat not even Kurt ever managed. (Go mumbles!)

Her cover of '97 Bonnie and Clyde is absolutely chilling, one of those covers that puts a song into its true light and underlines it for emphasis… kinda like the Genitorturersversion of Touch Myself.

For a solo/indie project this guy is amazing imo

Listened to this and his other EP “Songs Of Hope And Sorrow” , and his collaborative work in “Euphoreon” about 15 times now…can’t get enough, simply love it!

A blend of Doom/Symphonic/Melodic-Death Metal styles with clean & harsh vocals is quite a stunning mix!

Been listening to all 3 albums so much I felt compelled to purchase the digital downloads (in FLAC & MP3) and hopefully help support him some…I want more tunes from him ASAP lol
