What kind of music are you listening to?

Very relaxing. =)

some very nice tunes man! Thx for posting

Musical ability/talent/heart and a good melody transcends genres imo

Pretty amazing

Hope you like it!

Good stuff me thinks

JT Bruce, instrumental prog metal. Really unique stuff.
I recommend starting with Bellatrix from the Universica album.

Dave and Tim are the best  For some reason i just left them out of my list, nevertheless awesome.

Hard question since i listen to everything thinkable. But if youā€™re going to trust lastFM iā€™m mostly listening to Metal, screamo and 8bit.

The usual at-work mix includes:

assorted techno (surprised?!)
Einhander soundtrack
Ikaruga soundtrack
Final Fantasy VIII soundtrack

TECHNOmancer

Iron Maiden is one of my favorites too, hint look at my avatar.
I too love Nightwish, pre-Anette as well, itā€™s not the same without Tarja.

Lately though, Iā€™ve been into these bands more than usual: Dream Theater, Symphony X, Masterplan, Allen-Lande (Comprised of the two singers from Symphony X and Masterplan), Kamelot, Pyramaze, Serenity, Twilightning, and Manticora.

My musical tastes are all over the place. The bands I listen to the most are:

Iron Maiden
Dream Theater
Sepultura
Grateful Dead
Phish
Pink Floyd
Emerson Lake & Palmer
Miles Davis
Stan Getz
Jeff Beck
Billy Cobham
A Tribe Called Quest
Wu-Tang Clan
Squarepusher
Aphex Twin

Like I said, all over the place.

Mostly extreme metal and a little bit Mike Patton. Oh, sometimes Tool also.

Iā€™m usually more of a grind/math/thrash/hard core metal fanā€¦

but, randomly one day while messing with the free playlists in vlc I came across this song: Heroines

By Diablo Swing Orchestra. At first I found it a little odd, but later ā€¦I realized it had been three weeks and I had basically had that damned album playing on auto repeat the whole time!

While Iā€™m at it Iā€™d also like to mention that metal bands from India are fucking awesome!

Very cool! For some reasons this and this popped in my head when listening to it (do not ask me why). Sounds right up my alley.

Haha, that is probably the most amazing thing ever

Iā€™m currently listening to the new Tech n9ne album All 6ā€™s and 7ā€™s, Avrilā€™s new album, some older stuff by Dark new day and crossfade. I plan on getting Good meets Evil (em album) this weekend.

Metal all the way. Doesnā€™t matter what kindā€¦if itā€™s metal i like it :0

Hereā€™s an awesome song from an awesome band

Far Beyond (amazing imo)

Iā€™m usually tuned into ambient/chillout/drone shoutcasts, though there is a lot of stuff there that I donā€™t like.
I like listening to music that doesnā€™t need my attention. Itā€™s just there kinda. It might also be related to my tinnitus; I need some type of background noise so that the tinnitus isnā€™t the only thing Iā€™m hearing.

Iā€™ve recently discovered this for myself, even though itā€™s a bit old now.
Anyway, itā€™s Thrash Metal, but performed by a chick.
Sounds pretty good to me.

Speaking of metal & women

You guys have some interesting and surprising things to share!

Hereā€™s my two cents, Dead Cities of Syria by Virus (Norway) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4A6k-dURSY
