You should elaborate on the metal! I’m listening to a lot of thrash metal atm (mostly Slayer) since the announcement of their final tour. They’re not coming to my town either… Meh.
Eminem is also a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine with Eminem Show and Marshall Mather’s LP being two albums I grew up with.
One of the best saxophone solos ever is in this album (my opinion as a clarinetist)…

Zeal & Ardor - Devil is Fine - found it via Robert Christgau, as it was with the bunch of reviews he did that featured Bloodlust. The review made it sound good, so off to youtube and lo, it was f*cking excellent:
Sure the album’s a bit inconsistent (hello Sacrilegium III) but overall it’s a beautiful fusion of African American musical culture and metal and such.
There’s also a new Courtney Barnett track out that’s sure to piss off the mano-sphere and related sh*t weasels, it’s also pretty good. Not quite my flavour though, but like all her stuff it’ll probably grow on me and get embedded in my brain.
Also, finally got around to giving Heilung a listen and daaaaaaaamn.
Now for reals last - There’s a new A Perfect Circle album coming out O_O
F*ck Me - Maynard’s finally getting around to doing some more APC, now if only we could get a good new Tool album. Yes, that’s right, I regard 10,000 days to be not that great, so bite me.
