Tasty!

I have a deep and abiding love of The Pixies (the original lineup, don’t care for the new stuff as much). This scratches that itch.

ignore the video, enjoy the bass line.

Does anyone else who is a Pink Floyd fan here think this (best PF song imo):

…Was a huge influence for this (One of Archive’s best songs imo)?:

I can kind of hear what you’re talking about, though I’m not very familiar with Archive. (Personal favorite Pink Floyd is Learning to Fly)

Does anyone else who is a Pink Floyd fan here think this (best PF song imo):

definitely! I would go further, that is my favorite song by any artist of all time!

I like this a lot as well, almost nothing to do with PF though

Peter Hook’s good/better/best bass lines?

or do you like him better in Joy Division?

I have a 90s re-issue Dano-blaster that I ripped the pups out of and replaced with quarter-pounders. I can get the killer tone, but the bass itself is still kinda a piece of junk - the headstock is too heavy, and the neck ā€˜drops’, so I literally have to hold the thing up while I play it.

I am listening to very different stuff. Yesterday I listened to Progressive house, today I am listening to HIM. It’s a pity that the band has broken up, hope Ville Valo will appear more often on the world stage. Read that he bought this isolated apartment in Helsinki and haven’t been leaving it for a while, hope it’s not a crisis. I used to be his fan in school, he is a great musician.

I’m a huge Alt-Country fan so:

Uncle Tupelo
Son Volt
Will Oldham
Wilco
Bill Callahan
Joanna Newsome
Sparklehorse

And Indie music too:

Radiohead
King Crimson
Sleaford Mods
Yo la Tengo
Stereolab

And loads more, but these are my go to bands.
