S&B Commando that couldn’t kill Fabius in main game due to his heals lol
Poison DEE Warlock. Stopped at Nightmare Warden or maybe it was Nightmare Cronley. My playtime on it was low and I quickly switched over to DEE Witch Hunter.
Pet Conjurer with Briarthorn, Hellhound and Revenent of Og’NaPesh.
First build that got to ultimate was drumroll PHYSICAL 2h RANGED BATTLEMAGE!
Yes that’s absurd. I couldn’t kill kilrian so I stopped then moved on to a bit more meta build - dw acid blademaster.
Nice. Same except forcewave.
I tried the game first with a warder that stumbled around like an idiot (not knowing that stats/skills are as restricted here in vanilla as in D2), then properly a pet conjurer that got thrown into irrelevance with AoM’s release (thank you From Software Zantai) for about half a year (Thanks for adding %PBD to pet attacks and special attacks), so bad that Log took about half an hour to kill and one or two deaths on ultimate.
Dw pierce nightblade or i might have dabbled a few points into soldier too i can’t recall.
iirc that was when warden was the end boss?
Cadence Witchblade. Still have him, but he’s now a Blade Arc Witchblade. Some day he may actually finish Ultimate.
Blackwater cocktail build when the highest level available was 20.
AAR sorcerer ( could not deal with elite logh. and stopped him ) right after started to fallow a Saboteur guide
Conjurer Summoner ( yes, checked the forum for ideas), as after Titan Quest i decided to finally try pets’ build. It used to be a hybrid melee/ranged summoner before reaching 75 and equipping full Beastcaller set and switching to pets only.
Sentinel and Log were so difficult without proper gear.
It is still my main char now.
Death Knight. I did not follow any guides or anything, so it was trial and error build. I ended up with 2-handed cadence and bone harvest as damage dealers. I had huge life steal but crap attack speed
My weapon was mythical leviathan that was one of the first mythical legendariers i dropped so that was kinda the idea I had - to make a tanky build with huge physical resists and life steal.
My first one is Pierce DW Nightblade on Veteran HC. Later get overwhelmed by Loghorrean’s vomit.
This is why I play SC ever since.
Trickster. Can´t call it “Bleeding Trickster” because I had no clue about mechanics back then.
Still playing Grim Dawn because of her. After I could kill MQ with kiting her round and round and round only with Devouring Swarm and Falcon Swoop I was fixed.
2H lightning Warder. It was a while ago but I remember having a horrible time at end of Elite due to rubbish gear/resists and not really knowing what I was doing (no guides or internet research or anything) so I gave up on him for a while and made new chars.
He’s fully geared now but it took a long time and many other characters made before he got there.
Chaos cadence witchblade. It sucked, but got me through the game.
pet conjurer or AAR warlock, cant remember which one was the first.
the warlock was (obviously
) crap and the conjurer got me trough the game
Pure demo slinging everything and running out of energy so fast. Only Act 1 was available at the time so it wasn’t horrible.

That sounds like my first AoM build.
I still have the theorycraft, although, this one is fixed iirc. I think it was theorycrafted when AoM was not released yet but we had GT update, then updated later on: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/p256JGxV
My first build was a sword and board soldier back when the content ended at the Warden.
I once fought the Warden for 45 minutes before he died (I never did).
That was a ‘build’. Nothing could kill me but oh boy did it take forever to kill stuff.
