Where do the wagon oxen come from?

Isn’t it strange that we need to wait for a trader to buy horses, cows, goats and chickens but when we build a wagon shop oxen magically appear out of thin air to pull them?

It feels like buying cattle or horses to pull wagons should be part of the process of establishing our wagon logistics chains in the game.

Alternatively, we should be able to reassign the starter wagon oxen to our first built wagon, so we can get started with those without having to wait for a trader. Subsequent wagons should need cows bought from traders or bred from our own herds.

They use Oxen made by the carpenter Geppetto?

Fair point I think. Maybe the wagons could start out being pulled by people rickshaw style. Then you upgrade to ox when you have the gold to spare.

Oh, great.

Another level of difficulty for them to throw at us.

Loose lips sink ships.

I also find this a bit odd an immersion breaking - i would love to see this merged with a system where we can also breed oxen to plow fields making them less labour intensive

next question: where does the seed for the crops come from?
or: where do the citizens get the gold for the markets?

we have to accept a little bit of magic
