There are always dead villagers scattered across my town, without any indication why they died. Often they come in clusters for no apparent reason. It would be useful to know because maybe it’s something that I can do something for. Occasionally the body is on the ground and it tells you if you click on it, but 99% of the time it’s just the dead icon. I want to be able to click on the icon and always have it tell me why they died.
Perhaps you have such notifications turned off, but I get an announcement message when one of my villagers dies. I can click on the message and find out the cause of death.
I have the notification for death due to old age turned off. Nothing can be done regarding aging.
It would be nice to be able to click on the body and get the same info though.
I have all my villager notifications on so that’s not it. All I know is there’s always some dead villager icons around my town like in the picture and there was never any message why. Sometimes I get notified a villager died of exposure or something but mostly they appear with no message and for no apparent reason. Also, you can see in the picture there’s no dead bodies laying on the ground to click on either, although occasionally there is.
That looks like a big drunken brawl. How many months of food do you have? (Main reason villagers get murdery after drinking)
I don’t build pubs.
That’s not how my notifications work, so perhaps it is a bug. Have you double checked your settings to see if they have somehow gotten turned off? I’ve had some unexpected results when hitting the wrong keyboard combinations.
Except for old age, which I turned off, I always get a notification window with ‘A villager has died’ message. Clicking on the notification shows the cause of death (exposure, combat, predator, illness, childbirth, etc.). There is also a button that takes you to the corpse.
If your death notifications are all turned on and you are not getting any notifications then it seems like a bug.
