Wish ppl would use some props, like benches either by the pub or the decoration. Also would be cool to use the festival pole would have partys once in a while.
From the v0.9.7 changelog:
Think someone said they do use the festival pole.
They do a lot of laundry.
The ratio in parks vs people is weird, they relax but cover a lot of room in a large park.
But they don’t use the benches, which is what OP is primarily referring to. It seems an odd oversight to me since the whole reason we place benches is so that people can sit on them. Maybe they haven’t been able to figure out the modeling or something for it. I hope they do eventually. I’d also love for villagers to interact with each other if they’re idling together.
PS: OP I really like your landscaping around the pub. It looks really cute and organic.
Yeah, i like it a lot too, thats why i was “sad” that there is not much life around PUBS.
Like i really enjoyed Knight and merchants where you could see ppl just eating and drinking on the benches. We could have someting like this for drinking.

They do a lot of laundry, not necessarily their own, almost done at random houses. Same for gardening, you come home and some rando is digging in your yard. The mourning is good though the arm movements are too Catholic for my liking. The parks are busy. I’ve yet to see the flagpole areas in use, maybe later. Does anyone actually listen to the Temple spruikers? Haven’t seen that either.
May I make a suggestion for T5 here? The Temple becomes a Cathedral, and the Altars become small Churches people go inside, and you have to set a religion, a permanent one, based on what relics you had when the upgrade is complete.
Pubs should 100% show villagers congregating in front (talking to each other, ideally) and sitting at the outdoor tables. Maybe give them some silly movements to look drunk. In medieval times pubs were the beating heart of peasant society, they deserve a lot more love IMO.
Theaters should have something too. I have ideas for it, but will make a separate post for that.
I suspect devs will add more villager idle behaviour over time. This is just their first pass.
