LOL - as long as you like a voice that would probably be better served in a “British Comedy Sitcom” as opposed to the more darker voice line of other games.

I don’t get why every review I have watched makes a point to mention the voice acting is decent.
Are all of these people being paid off or does their taste just suck?
Not sure, I am actually British by birth, but the voicing in Wolcen seems to me to be terrible and almost should not have gone down that route?

I didn’t think it was anything special honestly. I’ve heard way worse tho. It’s pretty much “middling” as far as I’m concerned.

Oh alright, I havent heard it yet as all the reviews feel the need to spend time talking about how the voice acting is decent/good but provide NO EXAMPLE OF IT.
Hard to make sense of the conflicting reports of it being garbage vs it being good with no data, and my machine cant even run the game so. Thank you for the insight.
The game is actually worth a look. The first few hours are enjoyable, but you soon realize that this is NO Grim Dawn.
I really did enjoy the first hour or two, but the game has many, many flaws and bugs and they need to addressed before becoming a real competitor to Grim Dawn.
I would also not worry too much about your machine’s ability to be able to handle it. Download and try it. My rig is well over 10 years old and it runs fine using MEDIUM settings. If it don’t work then use the Steam Refund.

I have owned It since 2015 and it used to run in early access. I did recently download it after the 72 hour lord of maintenance debacle, and it started up, went to a black screen with a white W in the center, then stopped responding. I tried everything, restarting my comp, verifying integrity of game files, uninstalling/reinstalling which took a long time, and nothing.
To hell with that game.
A lot of the concepts they have look REALLY fun, and are super creative. The game looks gorgeous as well. But. I cant even get past the W. So. Forget it.
i went over the game with a friend of mine. And its just such a mess of a release. It is not worth its starting amount and there is just so much gone wrong i don’t know if any repairs will be in time. It is much worse than i anticipated. I understand some remain sympathetic to what wolcen is trying to do here. The passive tree even though it has a great impact on the game is like much in the game not balanced out but even “fun” passives are not thought through enough. That is also the complaint of much of the game just not thought through enough. Many things game-breaking. We also decided that this isnt really patchable as it concerns some core game mechanics that need to change. This would mean a complete overhaul. imo they f it.

So it’s not just glitches and bugs. Wolcen Studio evidently don’t know what they’re doing, and give anything a pass as long as it looks good. Like the crew of Avenue 5.
The attribute system? Primary, secondary, tertiary, etc. Sounds interesting, yeah? It’s shit because Ferocity dump is always the best move as long as you have gear (bruiser type, by far optimal). That’s BY FAR the optimal move. It took the community a few days to figure it out that’s it’s a system with only one viable solution.
Rage/Willpower thing? Looks nice! But it forces players to hybridize Rage and Willpower skills, and makes every piece of gear that can have Rage/Willpower Transfer stat but doesn’t vendor trash.
It’s been advertised as super aRPG with classless freedom. But the truth is the weapon types ARE the classes. And it’s not “classless freedom” but “3 classes poverty.”
But it all looks good on the surface, and idiots are buying it (me, one idiot present, I’m still waiting for refund), and even posting positive comments. Like Medierra is always saying wherever she can, 93% GD players never killed Theo. Same with Wolcen, 99% players have no idea how bad it really is or how to make a good build in any game. They’re putting attributes evenly, thinking it’s the shit, or use staves for energy regen (I did that for a while, and some guys were laughing at me for that), or picking passives that don’t work and never figure out they don’t work. F-cking mayhem. Good title.
The Wolcen reddit is now mostly for posting fashion transmog. They even have a seperate subreddit for it 
. That tells you much about the ones still playing. The rest have gone for greener pastures elsewhere. And devs seem to be proud of their lack of basic math skills: “Percentages are hard”.

Sorry, I meant Medea. 
And say no to DOUBLE DAMAGE? Sorry, my imagination has its limits… (but in fact that node after the Willpower to Rage passive is just one of the many such nodes that double and triple and then quadruple your dmg so maybe if you look at it this way… or if you look at it the way that half those passives don’t work)
