Good news: They released a build with a setting for much lower graphics capabilities.
Which begs the question: Why are they doing this when they have such low “recommended” requirements? They need to jack those recommended levels up A LOT.

Maybe it runs fine on their systems. Runs OK on mine for the most part, i7 3930k at 4ghz, 16GB, GTX 570, about 30-40fps with medium to high settings
Windows 7 64 bit
I have 6 cores, so maybe that helps?
GTX 570 is ancient…
It runs Fallout 4 OK with fairly high settings.
I get 60fps for most areas in Grim Dawn, except when you get those crystal areas in Necroplis, it drops to 15…
New update
For today, we are bringing a lot of new stuff, including a whole new dodge system in the game and 13 new skills as well!
Here is the changelog, and a small video update.
New: (Game changing) Dodge system: Press the space bar to perform a quick escape move. It costs 5 stamina points, available per default.
New: 13 new Skills
I just can’t get this game to load now that it’s on steam. It just sits in the black “loading” box all day.
Now this looks interesting. I’ll keep my eye on this one.
But can any of you who’ve played it tell me what the controls are like? Does it play like Grim Dawn, Diablo 3, Path of Exile…etc?
In other words is it mouse controlled, point & click like those games?
Yes it’s point and click like your typical ARPG, but control pad option is coming in the future
imposible, a control pad never comparation to mouse and keydboard
To each their own. Some people are more comfortable with a control pad.
I’ve been watching some YouTube videos about it and it looks like it plays just like Grim Dawn (which is excellent)
I’ve just signed up for their forums and it looks like they’re going to sell the game through both Steam and GOG which is fantastic news (cause I don’t use Steam).
So a big thank you to the OP who found this. I hadn’t heard anything about it and it’s definitely something I’m interested in.
holycrap, you need a nasa super computer to run this game!
Looks interesting, saw some combat on twitch, and i’m satisfied with seeing how it will progress, and eventually maybe i’ll get it, but for now Grimdawn’s my #1.
I don’t think a super-duper computer is needed to run it. Something with a little bit of substance, because CryEngine, but it’s not too bad.
I have a decent rig and settings to low with 60 fps which supposed to be good.
However, even at 60fps the game plays like its choking. Obviously, it needs a ton of optimization to make it run silky smooth.
Dev blog entry - melee, animations etc

Well, for me the reviews sounds like a typical Alpha of a game that is not in the hand of some Mult-Million Dollar Company who is using the “Alpha”-Sign just for advertising.
On stream they test 0.1.8v. on GOG its still in 0.1.7… on their site their isnt a mention abou 0.1.8… until yesterday at least. They are a bit unorganised.
Backed it before I saw the specs…
Looks like it will be a pretty cool game if they achieve what they set out to do though.
Take a look at some gameplay footage of the per-weapon combo styles, with new work-in-progress animations. And these are just the basic combos, each combination weapon will have a special move that we haven’t shown yet. These can be a charged attack for the heavy hammer, or the ability to block incoming blows with your shield. As you’ll see we’re introducing Dual Daggers and their unique play style for the first time !
This week also marked the introduction of a new kind of particle effects for magical effects on weapons. Elemental effects and passive bonuses are now shown on your weapons and your hands with much better looking effects than before, as you can see :
Holy crap every time I see a photo of Wolcen my jaw drops. Jesus that is one impressive looking ARPG.
