[1.0.0.6] Markovian/Warborn Commando - Juggernaut - high physical dmg shield build + Crucible farmer

You can leave it for now like this. Use what you need to advance. When you gather over 30 devotions start thinking about Oleron.

I am confused. The gloves you are using is Grasp of Unchained Might. Yet, you post that it is Handguards of Justice or Collosal Grasp. Maybe you forgot to edit that. My question is which of the four gloves is the best for this build including Voidsteel Gauntlets? Thanks.

Handguards of Justice should be edited out since 1007 nerfed it’s OA.
But beforehand, fluff uses unchained might as he can handle an aggressive build,
but this glove has haters due to reduced DA.
Other gloves are listed as alternatives, there’s no solid conclusion about which is better after all.

Thanks man. I have the Voidsteel Gauntlets and wait for it…BOM with +5 to Blitz from an older character. I will try the full build until my commando reaches lvl 75. Currently lvl 72.

Very nice amulet;)

Handguards of justice are still an option for those who have no other alternatives because of +2 blitz

Yeah! But still we cant max blitz if we’re using BOM +5 using the markovian set right? So HOJ is a must if you want to max blitz?

HoJ will max blitz but you’ll lose global damage without unchained might. You will have almost the same dmg on Blitz with both but more dmg with unchained on cadence

Well, you saw my screenshot.

I have 1900+ DA too.

And she one shots me every time.

Even after I switched up my gear and devotions to the offensive setup.

So yeah.

I do exactly as you do in the “not cherry picked” video, and die like I’m playing Contra with zero verticality.

I’ll wait for the OA to be fixed.

Or not, and just wash my hands of it.

There are too many other games out there that consistently provided an enjoyable experience, for me to be arsed with this horribly balanced nonsense.

You’re right. How about Voidsteel vs GoUM?

Hard to say. I took GoUM for flat phys damage. Warborn doesn’t need Voidsteel. For Markovian it has the resists if you need them. Cadence will have same dmg with both but Blitz will do more dmg with GoUM

Thanks man. I will try it out.

Superfluff, the damage in your picture shown is with procs right?

By procs if you mean the skills activated like Temper and Menhir Bulwark then yes.

Also Deadly momentum because that is up 100% time in fights. But no other equipment procs are active in the pictures. No Unchained Fury from GoUM. With that proc Markovian for example goes up at over 71K dps. Also no fighting form.

Ah, I see. Because my paper dps with buffs only, no deadly momentum is around 45k.

And, another question, in your new devotion setup, is that intentional? You didnt take the +15% to all damage in jackal? or you prefer +5% health over it?

I prefer the 5% health. Especially if you want to play Warborn too which has much lower health. By all means if you play only Markovian and want that node take it, it won’t break your build:p

 Ah, okay. So which is better? Warborn or markovian?

That is for each player to decide:p I really like both when I play them. It’s up to your mood. Warborn hits Faster with Cadence so has more DPS and 20% phys resist from Siegebreaker and Markovian uses Blitz more often and also has Overguard more often.

Heyya Superfluff,

Thanks so much for the amazing build as I have always loved the Commando makeup and nice to come back and see something that uses Blitz and Cadence together. That said, I do have a few questions and don’t want to bog ya down with huge specifics, so I’ll get right to them:

  1. Looking at your skill tree and mine, I noticed that you didn’t put too many points into Blindside whereas I put more points there. Is there really an advantage to adding more points into it, or can I just get away with less points to get distributed elsewhere?

  2. Concerning Menhir’s Bulwark and Oleron’s Rage. I know Menhir’s is a little more defensive than Oleron’s, but could I put points into Oleron’s just to use it when not needing the defensive power of Menhir’s? Or would that be too much of an investment and not enough of a profit in the long-run?

  3. Currently, I am using a ‘Tyrant’s Imperial Mallet of Ferocity’, which I can’t believe I actually got to roll on some crafting attempts I was making. That said, however, should I try and roll for something else that has a bit more attack speed, or will that be sufficient for a weapon?

  4. For talents like Break Morale and Squad Tactics, is there a threshold to stop at with putting points into those? And for our shield block chance…is there a good number to aim for? I’m currently at around 53% or so chance to block…should I push that a little higher?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome,

Read red text:)

Thanks for the replies, glad to know those things and I’ll do some skill point rearranging for that. Oh, one other question, especially since this isn’t super clear to me. For some something like ‘Relentless’ that has the ‘% Chance of x-Physical Damage’…how does that work? Also, in that case, which would be better:

  1. % Chance of x-Physical Damage
  2. xx-xx Physical Damage

For the second one, I would assume that is damage that gets added to the min/max of the weapon’s damage range seen in the tooltip. That’s something I’ve always been confused on in this game and not sure of those to shoot for when it comes to the affixes that give them. Any insight on this?
