[1.1.4.2] Bleeding Glass Shards 2: The Laceration - 6:15m Crucible no greens Bleeding Trickster [cr+][sr][vid]

No need to nerf Bleeding Trickster. Can be a fast Crucible farmer, can be made more tanky for SR…but “breaks” nothing.

Tested it after Bloodsong nerfs in 1.1.3.0. Still hella strong. Added a video. Also slightly updated Grimtools with optimized builds for both green and no green version.

how are pet specs balanced? they have access to some of the best defenses (spring maiden etc.) and their pets can tank almost anything. A friend of mine killed ravager in front of me with his pets, he took no damage and none of his pets died. how is that balanced? lol

I dont think bloodrager set needed the heavy nerfs, it was doing good damage but still had the fundamental problems of most dual wield specs (except maybe OP deathmarked infiltrator) of being a squishball and also relying on a rather small amount of pierce damage to life steal off for survival.

Is this build still viable in 1.1.4.1?

Yes, very viable. But you gotta change it up a bit: use sword + Butcher of Burwitch with 4 points of Berserker in devotions (gotta sacrifice Ghoul for that which is not that bad actually) or for max damage use axe of Crimson Wakes + Butcher of Burwitch (again, give up Ghoul for Berserker).

I am not updating because I am a bit frustrated Crate nerfed Bloodsongs into the ground - they are basically the worst option now.

Ahh, ok, will do thanks! The other build I’m interested in is the Elektra trickster build - how does that still fare in this patch…?
Thanks

I haven’t tested it but I think it will be all right. It’s a Shattered set autoattacker. Maybe it will become slower in Current Crucible (because Crucible became tougher), but it will still farm it consistently, maybe one or two defensive tweaks will be required.

Also note, that Bleeding Trickster is viable and still super strong in terms of damage but in Current endgame your consistency will depend on your skill a lot.

Cheers for the reply!
Was wondering also, does min/max seeds on items matter much for endgame? Low rolls on items - will they make a huge difference for clear speeds do you think…?

It matters but it’s not gamechanging.

1.1.4.2 Update

Build was semi-dead after numerous Bloodrager nerfs and consecutive Crucible buffs. I have tried all the possible weapons combinations but nothing gave the build consistency that was up to my standards. Turned out, answer was Wendigo Totem and tweaked devotion map with freshly buffed Empty Throne and Owl. And Bloodsongs, despite being nerfed many times felt like the best weapons still. Added couple of videos of Crucible runs.

1.1.4.2 spec GRIMTOOLS

6:07 Crucible run

6:27 Crucible run

So you can’t leave your enemy in 90% anymore and bleed dots reduce by almost half from 900k to 500k?

Looks good though, and I think definitely can be faster in the crazy hands.

You can also use Kymon’s will augment for a decent damage reduction. I use it in my blademaster and dervish, make the build more stable if your mastery dont have damage reduction source yet.

Should give all dmg. Elementals already got Censure.

Nope, still can. But Zantai almost killed this build. Took me a lot of trial and error to make it work again. And it’s still on a squishier side.

From my experiemnts with this augment I could never feel damage reduction tbh. I tested a (different) build with it and without it and it felt the same tbh.

TBH, they should give order of death’s vigil a comparable augments. Kymon’s augments are just overall better.

It’s trickster, hard to make Tanky. It only has damage to survive.

Strange, I definitely feel it in mine. Especially in an auto-attack build with high attack speed.

Though to be fair, you are not spending so many hits in one enemy with this build, so maybe it’s not that effective in DoT melee.

I’m still used to the old meta, and this setup looks VERY SOLID to me. 12k+ health, 2k+ armor, 3k da, 25% phys res, HAMMERING 23% adcth with 17k top wpn dmg and good average attack speed, no cc res disregarded, standard nightblade dodge+big-ass fumble… If this is squishy then what about 90% other builds in GD that could not dream of such numbers?

I find such nerfs a bit crude. See 5:30 -> take a hammer -> smash smash smash. I’m exaggerating but imo it cannot be left unsaid that now that the environment is more dangerous, these kinda builds need to eliminate threats before debuffs stack up or they don’t function.

Anyway, isn’t one of the axes worth it for that Berserker?

And another question, what would it take to make it SR viable?

@Ya1_:
Well, 23 % ADctH doesn´t mean much on a Bleeding Build because Bleeding doesn´t give ADctH. So he has rely on Physical/Pierce Damage for ADctH.

Since a long time, I play my Trickster differently than Mad_Lee and after the nerfs, I still can do SR 70/71 reliably and SR 75/76 depends on the bosses. Mad Queen is quite a pita. Mad_Lee plays for speed (look at Armor Absorption); I skipped Wendigo Totem and went for more AoE (Grasping Vines), chose a different Devotion route and use an epic Axe with Beserker.

Good point about adcth. Trickster has no pierce rr. Which is why I like that Wendigo Totem at 12/12 there.

Wendigo Totem is great for aggro abused SR imo. Not so great on a good DoT crucible build where you jump from place to place applying DoTs. I used Wendigo Totem even on a Stormreaver for free 6% adcth when you need it (which you almost never do but it’s just 2 points…)

Sure it has. It just has no points for a lot of it (Night´s Chill).

I mean ‘no’ as in ‘almost no’

For most Nemesis (only checked them) 45 % is “okay”. Iron Maiden/Kaisan though…

Question:
I ask myself, how important Slow Resistance is when ADctH isn´t great due to DoT Build.
